I’ve seen this comic quite a few times. There are many issues with it.
First, the assume men are all objectifying each other. If this were the case, the gay man should be held to the same standard and seen as just as disgusting. But also, women do this just as often.
Second, it reduces homophobia to just misogyny. This ignores the complexity of the mindset of homophobia. It’s often traditionalism, religion and belief in gender roles (especially for men) that causes it.
This comic ignores *why* it’s almost always men who are the main targets of homophobia, that should show it’s not misogyny. Gay men are still men. And even when they’re seen as not being real men, that’s not because of misogyny, it’s because of misandrist gender roles and expectations of men as well as sexist views about male sexuality being predatory (which, ironically, this comic contributes to).
Also, what about lesbians and female homophobic people? It assumes only men are homophobic and ignores the many female bigots.

Homophobia is often the result of disgust at sexual minorities and people (especially men) who subvert and transgress gender norms and the idea of heteronormative masculinity.
