It's been almost 4 years since I left the whole incel/redpill stuff. I'm convinced I'm fully recovered in that regard. I no longer have that hateful mindset, and I feel a lot better.

However, it seems like others can never let go of it. And then, how am I supposed to? I'm mainly talking about online friends/communities here. Stuff like online friends discord servers.

I always get reminded over the misogynistic stuff I've said, even though I'm completely over that, learned from it, and have tried to apologize and move on. But it's getting really hard when people still hold me accountable for stuff that happened 4 years ago. I was 15 for fucks sake, I didn't have anything/anyone else in my life, I was depressed, and we all do irrational things in such a situation. I'm already proud I managed to recover at all, because I genuinely thought I wouldn't.

I've tried talking to the people involved, but no avail. It's feel very dismissive, Do people genuinely not believe you can change?

Does anyone have any experience or help for this?
