If a guy is hot but talks to me like shit I'm not interested, if a guy is ugly but treats me like an actual person then I'm going to enjoy spending time with him. Hot guys can treat women like crap, likewise ugly men can as well though often from ugly men it comes from a more bitter place...neither of those men I'd wish to spend time with.

If your inexperienced with women, continue working on yourself and only give your energy, time and resources if you have fully vetted!

I wanted to convince myself that pretty privilege is not real, but I guess it absolutely is.

There is a mountain of evidence pretty privilege is real and affects both genders in dating and outside dating.

I saw comments on here saying that better looking boyfriends are just easier. That they are the only ones that can see a woman as human and can more easily get out of bad mindsets.

That is one person's opinion. Better looking boyfriends may also be more likely to cheat, put less effort into the relationship, not have good communication skills because they weren't necessary, and create the constant need to be as attractive as them.

Doesn't that basically confirm that genes are basically the most important thing about a person because that will make them confident?

Research has shown that both environment and genetics are very important for outcomes. For example if this good looking boyfriend was abused as a child he will probably have relationship troubles even if his good looks should theoretically make him "easier" to be with.

So the blackpill is actually real?

The blackpill is partially true. Looks are very important, but other things are important too, and they are less important to less attractive women.

Give up and d!e alone? Is this the fate we that are not best looking ones have to deal with?

Or you should find someone about as attractive as you are who also isn't the best looking person.

Some people who are not conventionally attractive choose to be self confident anyway. It is a choice at the end of the day. And there's many things to be confident about: your health, skills, personality, whatever is your art and poetry my dude, do it with pride and confidence. And spread self- sprouting self- esteem in others as well.

Being physically attractive is a big advantage in dating.

Being charismatic and funny is also a big advantage.

Having a good job is also a big advantage.

All of these things are true.

What tends to happen is that you will end up dating women who are about as attractive as you are. Some guys can’t accept that because they grew up watching tv with very beautiful women, so they feel like that’s normal.

I also prefer men and women who are funny rather than attractive. I’ve never fallen in love with an attractive, non funny person but I have fallen in love with 2 stereotypically not attractive men who’ve made me howl laughing.

Pretty privilege most certainly exists. There is something called the halo effect where someone more young attractive is given a pass or not judged as bad versus someone who is not conventionally attractive. Celebrities given god status for being so attractive.... Sexiest man in the world..... Hottest woman in the world. Etc etc. People like pretty people.

Like Brock Turner named swimmer student. And his actions were spoken of less.

If it was a bald fat old guy they would lead with his actions.

There are people who have an easier time dating because they are more attractive and that is just life. Most people fall under average and will find other average people. And it's not a bad thing it's life and a reality of it. Working with what you got improving what you can and being the best you can be is all you really can hope for.

That something is easier for paople on team Cougar doesn't mean it's imposible to people on team Eagle. Of course genes can be very important to help you develope certain skills, including social ones, but that doesn't mean you have to give up on trying to have an enjoyable life doing what you like. Not because you weren't born 7' tall means you can't play basketball and have a fun time, even competitively. Yeah, maybe you will not play for the Lakers or whatever team you fancy, but that doesn't matter in the end.

You have to finally realize that people like other people, they don't like height, color, voice, mindsets, looks. Those things are just part of a person and not because someone taller would show up, means they'll change you...and even if they do, that means they only liked you for being tall. That's on them, you can't expect to build a meaningful relationship if the only thing that dragged a person to you is your height or looks or money. They have to like you as a person for that. May I suggest therapy?

You went from "pretty privilege is real" to "black pill is real" but that's a huge leap man.

Yes, people who are more attractive by social standards generally have some advantages (and disadvantages too, but you probably don't want to hear about that.) But that's just the start of it.

It's like acknowledging that white privilege is real (although ironically? most black pillers I run into are more conservative types who won't acknowledge this, unless they are the opposite, the types who think ONLY white people can date... always an extreme) and then leaping to "so if you're black you will never get a real education, never find a job, never own a home, never ever ever ever ever, you're just DONE, might as well just GIVE UP NOW" blah blah blah. That's what black pill is and it's nonsense. Like yeah, different variables work for or against you, and I know it's not helpful to hear (generally well-meaning but misguided) people try to pretend they don't. But there are a LOT of variables. All of these pill attempts to simplify things into 1 or 2 variables are missing the truth... that everything in life is incredibly complex.

Okay so I’ve read through a lot of these comments, read alot of threads and here’s my take away:

You’re young. You’re saving for university which tells me you’re still in high school & probably going through puberty still. Trust me - nobody is good looking in high school. Even the best looking kids. Y’all look awkward. It’s your age, it’s your time. It’s okay. If you’re trying to score a 26 year old hot lady, we have to talk about a lot more about female predators & your own realistic abilities to date.
You probably haven’t dated a lot because again you’re in high school. You’re in high school. Read that twice. You’re in high school. Stop it. Girls aren’t everything yet, you have an entire world to explore of people who you cannot even imagine existing. Life is so much bigger then high school & it’s very very common to not date anyone in high school at all.
You gotta work on your confidence. This entire thread is how you feel low self esteem cause you feel ugly therefore it’s pretty privilege. Yea. Pretty privilege is a thing. It is. It sucks but it’s a thing. But it’s NOT everything. Confidence is WAY more attractive then just being conventionally pretty (and again, you’re in high school. You don’t even know how pretty you’ll be yet because your body is still growing and changing and it needs to do it’s thing.)
You have power. You have power to change the way you look, to change your diet, to change your mentality, to change your attitude, to change everything. I get that you’re learning & learning is hard but don’t let one snippet of what you learn STOP you from learning other things.
Think critically. Don’t just take something at face value and think “whelp this one person on this one thread said this one thing and it fits with my narrative of life so this is the only thing that can be true & imma seek people who can tell me it’s true and stick with them and apologize and tell everybody else I’ll try better when I really won’t because I’ve already made up my mind”. Keep learning, listen to others.

At the end of the day everything boils down to how you see and feel about the world, that will be your truth. You’re young. You’re learning. You’re changing. You’re growing. Be confident and own it. You are you & that’s special.

I think it’s real for sure. In nature and biology, the best genes always win right? Who are we fooling by telling ourselves otherwise that nature doesn’t apply to us humans? That being said I think the most important thing is as humans, we are gifted with intellect and consciousness and we could always make something out of ourselves by ourselves without fading into mediocrity. Sure, might be lonely sometimes but what’s more important in my opinion is SELF ACTUALIZATION. loving yourself. Being happy with yourself. Being accomplished with your own self and your own achievements!

You seem like you’d be a horrible person to be in a relationship with because you likely have mental health problems. At best, you seem to be wallowing in self-pity, low self-esteem, fear, and self-doubt.

I’m guessing the moment you speak to anyone, man or woman, they read it in an instant. But I’m guessing you don’t actually speak to many humans in real life to begin with.

None of this has anything to do with how you look.

Who would have the energy to engage with someone who’s totally covered in red flags like this?
