I had a guy (at least 40+) apparently following me to lingerie store, waiting outside for me and then “catch up” once again to tell me how pretty I am and that he just had to wait and get my number. He then asked my phone but I was so scared that I asked for his and typed in a fake number.

The fact someone followed me without me knowing scared the shit out of me. I was 17 at that time.

It really saddens me how true this is. I’ve had so many coworkers make me feel uncomfortable but out of fear of violence/further workplace harassment I either 1) lie and say I have a boyfriend or 2) awkwardly leave without trying to hurt their feelings

I had a man approach me in a book store to ask me about something. The store was full with people of all ages. I told him I didn’t know but he could ask the dozen of girls in red shirt that were clearly working there and ready to help. He was extra gentle and kind of sugary and didn’t want to let me go but I was really “in the zone” enjoying my book hunting so he gave up. After 20 min when I emerged from my search e saw him talking to a little girl no more then 15 and she was clearly uncomfortable even from 20 m distance to where I was. And right next to her was a girl clearly working at the store he could ask anything. The little girl, bless her heart, just turned her back to him and continued her doing with a friend leaving him there standing. Proud of that young lady. She just left him standing there. I had a good chuckle

oh my god. The hand on the girl's shoulder gesture is so uncomfortable, I feel this picture, it makes me shiver because I relate so much.

At least younger me would've just let his hand rest on my shoulder and prayed he would remove it soon but nowadays I don't put up with it anymore and I literally lift up his hand and push it off my shoulder.

The 60 something year old man at the gym who Inssssists on going up to me and interrupting my workouts to make small talk everytime he sees me at the gym and after I try to get back to my workout by slowly putting my earphones back in he says bye and then comes back right again jusssst to tell me how pretty my eyes are (only thing visible since I got my mask on).
