My father is the same way - if he sees that I need something he will automatically drop everything & get it for me or fix it. He does the same for my mother. Too bad neither of his sons inherited this trait.

I love to read stories about HV dads as I had the worst experience with that entitled narcissist of a NVM that's my male bio parent, and I'm just so happy for you, it must be beautiful!

I'm totally going to gift myself a toolbox too! I need it and I'm tired to ask to unreliable men if they can fix a thing, being said yes, and then watching them forget or "not having time", and probably being not as precise as I would be.

My dad basically bought or handed me down all of the tools I own. I learned everything I know about fixing shit from that guy. We built a new clutch together when I was 16/17. Then he gets offended that I didn’t ask him to come over and help me install my new garbage disposal and dishwasher.
