But honestly I get it. When I was with my ex I was like “yessss no more dating, so happy I found my person, dating sucks!” blah blah blah. Now that I’m single it still sucks.

I have a friend that when I talk about my standards or why I'm curving yet another guy she says "it just shouldn't be this difficult!" Like really girl, you got married and had kids super young, hate your ex husband, and have screaming matches with your current bf daily. It should be this difficult because I'm not going to settle for that kind of bullshit ever again. And if I'm single indefinitely oh well it's better than being with my NVM ex.

I'm currently considering getting off OLD due to none of my matches being worth risking COVID-19. Sigh. It's kind of like the lottery though, you gotta play to win! As tedious as it gets weeding out the LVM, doing everything online is great practice for when I'm back on the real dating scene. Maybe it's corny but I believe there's a HVM out there looking for me like I'm looking for him. It's just a matter of time and patience.

I can’t even find anyone I’m interested in. Occasionally I meet someone who’s not an absolute dumpster fire but there’s never actual interest. I’ve met one guy in 34 years that I was minorly interested in and he had commitment issues so I walked. When people tell me I’m going to die alone because I’m too picky, I 100% own that and I’m fine with it. Better than being stuck with some dipshit I’m not really into just to not be single 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep! I'm done being lied to, manipulated, hit, choked, insulted, ghosted, raped, and stolen from by gainfully-employed, middle-class men with degrees whose families have more money than mine. I actually can't even think about dating anymore - it's way too traumatic. It's a thousand times worse than I previously ever thought possible.

I am... I feel like dating is wasting energy, time and often can hurt. It's better to be productive than trying to find the "right one" right now in my case.

I’m the exact same way. It took me a while to fully commit to FDS ways but I’m now clean of all the dating apps, have removed the men that do not have my best interest in mind from social media and have rebuffed advances from this guy that likes me but sorta doesn’t like me some days. I just don’t know how I will find a HVM but I sure as hell won’t settle.

I won’t be known as that girl who settled for a less attractive or less value man just because I was blinded by the small pool of sucky mean that surround my life.

Same feeling here. I’ve officially thrown in the towel at the ripe old age of 25, and deleted all OLD apps. While my family thinks that my “negative” attitude towards dating won’t help me find a guy, I’d rather be single and happy than dealing with another LVM again, since they seem to just absolutely love the thought of me, but that’s as far as it goes(at least in my past experiences).

Plus side is, I broke my foot four days ago and caused a rare fracture, so I’m looking at 4-6 months to full recovery...which makes being single a lot better, because I can imagine the scenario if I’d grabbed another LVM just so I wouldn’t be single: he sure as shit wouldn’t be here helping me out to the extent of my family and friends.

I legit had a girlfriend of mine stop by today and drop off a care package of sweets and other food, with photos of us that she printed saying that she missed me (we’re still in quarantine in CA), and that’s so much sweeter than anything I’ve ever gotten from a male.

So for now, I’m going to recover, enjoy the single life and my friends/family 😊

Yes! I have a HUGE crush on a friend of a friend (we follow each other on twitter and have the odd interaction, but have never met), but I'm close to blocking him because I just can't be arsed with it. It's only a crush and I don't actually know the guy, he's probably a scrote in real life and I cba with the disappointment. And then I realised... I feel like this about all men. I just don't want a man in my house.

I totally felt this. I’m just gonna focus on myself and if a HVM comes my way while I’m continuously just tryna do me, then I’ll entertain him.
