I like to explore areas where The Rules and FDS converge. I commented on another post about the frequency of agreeing to dates. I don't think you should agree to see a man more than once a week, if that.

And I agree with The Rules that you shouldn't always say yes, even if you're available. Make up a polite excuse, or better yet, be legitimately busy. Even if he does the asking, don't make it too easy! Try saying no and don't offer an alternative. 😈 Don't respond to all his messages, and don't say yes every time he asks you out, even if you like him and he meets FDS standards. By saying no or being too busy -- you can test his real drive to date you. If a man stops pursuing you because you missed one text, or skipped one date, he is not genuinely interested imo.

Since my last break-up, I've been really vigilant as to how admired I feel by a potential suitor. The ones that are genuinely interested will move mountains, always remember that. (caveat: this always excludes lovebombing).
