Stay away from these women. Their coping mechanism is to view their partner as a child, so they can avoid the reality-- that their partner is a selfish, exploitative and cruel adult. These women will help you do the mental gymnastics to make bad choices and fuck up your own life, so they have a pal they can rant to. You can't trust someone to care about you, when they don't even care about themselves.

There is a parenting sub here on Reddit with all moms. Most of the "man rant" posts describe an abusive man. The comments are inappropriate-- instead of telling the woman to leave, to stand up for herself at least, they usually chime in with "my husband does this too, he's such a baby" or they make stupid jokes to minimize the situation.

You just can't trust the opinion of a woman who chooses to view an adult man as a child. It will also be hard to be authentic with these types of women, because you can't honestly talk about yourself. You can't talk about being single and dating, because they'll be the first to give you opposite day "advice" or try to set you up with a loser acquaintance. You can't be happily partnered either, because they are't mentally healthy enough to support you or be happy for you. So there's no point talking to them at all.
