I have a wild story to back this up. but I cringe... knowing I could have saved three months by paying to reverse search his phone number and background check like I ended up doing anyway. At least he didn’t get the satisfaction of having sex w me thanks to FDS.

EDIT: My friend pays for this app called BeenVerified that located his phone number and figured out his real name. From there I used whitepages to run a background check.

We were friends for 1.5 mo, and then dated for 1.5 mo. He was very respectful which is why i told him I could see is as more than friends. But long story short he used a fake name, was invisible online because of this. Told me he was named after his grandpa who he discovered fairly recently was a child molester, which is why he changed his name. This name was on his credit cards. But he mostly paid in cash- which may be a red flag in retrospect.

A few things weren’t sitting right which eventually put me on edge. He told me he takes care of his grandmother (who raised him) as she has Alzheimer’s so I never went to his place.

Well Friday we tried to hook up for the first time but he got soft, which seems v strange for someone to have after 3 mos of buildup and sexual tension. Then he went dark on me after I raised my concerns again. Claimed he had a migraine and that he was admitted to the hospital. So I called the hospital and verified that he was not there. That’s when I dug into more, and discovered he had a wife and went by a different name via these tools. So I called the hospital again with his other name and verified again that he was not there. His criminal background was clean but he’s still a sociopath. I’m v good at detecting liars so this totally threw me. he has disappeared since I called the hospital yesterday morning. The part that confuses me the most is- if the motive isn’t sex, then what is it?
