I watched this show with my cousin a while ago and it was so hard not to cringe at her after I found this subreddit lol. I was just internally screaming “What are you doing???!” to Carrie the entire time!

that's why i couldn't get into it. there's a whole story thread around where she waits several years or some shit for "the one" to try out the other women he's hot for or something something. she gets picked and happily ever after or......she gets a walk in closet of her dreams because? she shoulda just built the closet.

The take did an interesting piece on MR.Big and what his relationship with Carrie symbolises. I think it's so important to define an HVM in what he brings to the relationship than what he has.

A plumber could be an HVM as opposed to some bigshot lawyer.

I guess I'm too young for this show but I just couldn't get it. Carrie was terrible and so were her men. Miranda was the only one with half a brain (I only saw the first season so idk what she was like after)
