I honestly think Tinder is your best shot for OLD. It’s the best-known and where the most men are — everyone on every other app will also be on Tinder, except for the ones who’ve been banned from it! Because of its popularity, it attracts the most ‘normal’ and well-adjusted men, along with the weirdos — you just have to get good at weeding them out. I met my last boyfriend and a couple of the guys I’m currently seeing there.

Bumble apparently attracts loads of dreadful LVM with the woman-speaks-first thing. I don’t know much about Hinge, and others I know by name only. Apparently OKC has moved more towards hookups since I last used it a couple of years ago. I think Tinder has actually become so popular now, though, that its user base has diversified to include people who aren’t just looking to hook up. Again, I think it’s your best shot.

Or try paid services. However, I know nothing about those and find Tinder v adequate for my needs (22, in a university city). I would wager there are more people taking paid services seriously!

On Tinder, I notice the men look much grosser than the other apps. It looks as if they all live under a bridge.

I’ve used bumble, tinder, pof and hinge on and off over the years. Met a ltr on pof but that was 6 years ago, I don’t think that app is relevant anymore. Most recently was on tinder, hated it. At least bumble and hinge make you put effort into your profiles. I didn’t like that I had to reach out with bumble so I’m in hinge now and it’s the best imo. I know people who have met their SO’s on tinder and bumble too though

Tinder has become the hot place for married men to hunt down women to cheat with. Esp Tinder gold - it’s easier for them to hide from friends and family

Take a peep at r/adultery sometime if you want to throw up in your mouth a little. Or a lot. How to use Tinder to cheat is discussed several times a day.

Be careful out there, ladies. Married men are THE biggest scrubs and liars imaginable. They will literally say anything to manipulate you into sex, treat you like dirt, give you nothing and expect you to be grateful “for the orgasms” 🙄

What I'm gathering from replies is that there are turds on every app (lol) and I'll just have to grin and bear it on any app, even Tinder, until I weed them out to meet that HVM.

Don't settle. Finding HVM is as easy as swiping left on LVM. In 1 minute, you can probably reject 30 LVMs. In 1 hour, you can reject 1,800 LVMs. With realistic use, you can probably reject 1,000 LVM per hour. That's just 1 hour of your life wasted :/ and you would have done a lifetime of rejecting LVM from the safety and comfort of your bedroom or living room :/

and you don't need THOUSANDS of HVM. You just need a healthy scrotation of 10 or so. A 1 hour / day effort isn't too bad. Even 30 minutes / day will help you find your scrotation of 10 competitors.

I tried Hinge recently and even though the guys seemed okay, it was quite slow. I didn’t get as many likes as I did on other apps (tinder, bumble). Even if it’s a match, guys would expect me to send the first text. There were some decent men on there but it was too much effort.

I met my ex on tinder and everyone’s right, it’s LVM central but there are a lot more HVM on it just because of pure numbers. The concept of bumble doesn’t appeal to me, I’m not chasing men.

I’ve heard really good things about coffee meets bagel. I have one married and two engaged coworkers who used it. I also like the league because they require a Facebook and LinkedIn account and vet candidates before they’re allowed to join.
