The most romantic thing a man has ever done for me is the Christmas present I got this year. We agreed to get "joke" presents (low cost but meaningful). I got him a scrabble board game because we like to play. He remembered a conversation we had months before where I was taking about an old TV show we used to watch that had a quiz where you could win a coffee mug. I said I always wished I'd won one. He knows some people in TV so he pulled in some favours. Unfortunately the coffee mugs no longer exist so his contact sent him the original artwork and he went to one of those print your photo on a gift places and had one made for me. Didn't spend a lot of cash but I feel like using your social currency is still high value behaviour and I appreciated the effort that he went to because it was personal to me. This rose petals on a blanket shit is cheesy and unoriginal and I'd be so unimpressed.
