As someone who was in a relationship with a sociopath and also watches a lot of true crime, the most sociopathic of men are the ones who are really good at hiding who they truly are. That means they will pretend really hard for a really long time that they are in love with their partner. A guy who doesn’t care as much about keeping his mask on will start treating her like shit a lot sooner. You know men are fucked when the most evil ones treat their woman better than rest of them will 🤣

This show is so spot on.

He goes off about how dating apps are “anti feminist” and he would go on a horse to whisk women away.

He thinks he’s a romantic and calls himself a feminist.

Basic decency; isn’t a porn wanker (to my knowledge… he gets off to his own power fantasizes,) and cooks and does laundry. These do not make you a good man!

I like how he calls other men stalkers 🙄😂that’s seriously how men think “it’s not me, it’s THOSE men, I’m a nice guy!

This show scares me as someone who has fallen for charming love bombing narcissists before.

“Too good to be true” is a red flag. If you’re feeling euphoric constantly in the early stages, look out for that. Took me till 29 to realize that being in love and being happy are not a constant state of of intense euphoria.

He specifically targets women who are insecure and vulnerable. Work on your core beliefs and core wounds and what they are because they do fuel why we ignore red flags.

Imagine a cut of You without the voice over narration. The actor actually acts so shy and sweet in his scenes like he outwardly appears like an introverted nice guy who doesn't talk much. I feel like the subtlety of his acting is a bit lost since there's constantly the super violent stream of thoughts as a voice over. Is this what the quiet guys are thinking?

Joe is so interesting to watch. I’m observing so much. He is afraid of abandonment and has a HUGE fear of not being accepted once people find out what a monster he is. On the flip side, he is SO QUICK to abandon someone once they show their “true colors”. The ironic thing is even with Love, the only (alive) woman who actually knows the truth about Joes murders/craziness, he still is not loyal or devoted to her. His mommy issues run deep. It is a fictional show, but I do believe the behavior patterns are based upon real behaviors. Men are only loyal if they have the capacity to be. It has nothing to do with a woman’s loyalty, what she does for him, or anything else. If you know you are HV or working to be, you are not the problem. Any signs of LV, cut em off!
