It’s funny because my ex would tell me not to take any shit then proceed to give me massive amounts of it and I pondered upon this very briefly. Then I realized he didn’t want me taking shit from anyone else, just him!

This is EXACTLY the kind of tactics my narc ex would do to me. Eventually after years of abuse I started fighting back. He said he doesn’t take shit up the ass and then I started saying the same. Fucked up demons they are.

My ex is bitter all over reddit because I divorced him last year. Says he doesn't understand what I wanted and how I could leave him after nine years of marriage. Um, nine years of coMmUnIcAtIoN being ignored will do that to a person. I have not felt better since I left him. I have never had more money in my bank account than when I left him. Yet I check his reddit account and see he is buying guns and spending $340 on a box of ammo and whining about how he can't afford to contribute to a retirement account because he financially got a late start in life. He controlled my money for nine years and I LET HIM THINKING HE HAD OUR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART.
Ugh, do not be me ladies, please listen when they say get your own bag. I did and I have not looked back since. (Plus my bag is getting fuller by the day without a leech on it!)

When was the last time you heard a man apologize for removing a toxic / emotionally abusive individual from his life?
Women over-explain, apologize and “feel bad” for absolutely everything! And I hate that we’ve been conditioned to think that’s normal!
Edit: I don’t mean to turn this into a rant (lol), but I want people to really think about what she’s saying:
”If you treat me like crap, and then disregard my incessant pleas for you to stop treating me like crap, I am going to leave and then not say sorry!”
Um....that’s great??? Way to be empowered??? I mean what the hell is the alternative???? Stick around until he destroys you?!
I’m so glad women are getting stronger, but this kind of language frightens me. Being halfway decent should be the bare minimum. Yet it seems to have become the gold standard!

So true. I recently called out a male classmate I have to do a group project with. He told me that I’m the one being disrespectful because I made assumptions about him being a sexist after only two meetings. Then said that I don’t know what I’m talking about because I don’t know the other females in his life.
You can talk as much as you want but they don’t care. Ladies learn this now and learn it well! Men KNOW they just don’t CARE! If he is treating you like shit, using you only for sex, leading you on emotionally.....I guarantee if someone does that to one of his female family members suddenly he will have a problem with it. Why? Because they are an extension of him. You’re not. You’re a thing, not even a whole person but a THING. And always remember no one is nicer than a man trying to get laid!! Words mean nothing, and as a result your words also will mean nothing to him.
As a side note I will start using ‘full offense’ more 📝

WHY? BECAUSE HE KNOW YOU PUT UP WITH HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE!
You put up with his lies and deceit and even though you have a good support system he will stay with you and then continue that with you because he doesn't wanna look bad to your people while he snickering at you for not leaving and seeing your peers sad about you and they can't do anything about it, probably because they don't care much and that is why you are with this type of loser in the first place.
