What annoys me the most about libfems is their tendency to slap the word empowerment on everything that a woman does. Actual empowerment is more objective than you think, it’s not a feeling. Just because a woman feels empowered by a choice she made doesn’t mean she actually is. Libfems will be against the objectification of women and on the same breath they’ll tell you they’re pro sex work and porn, which are based on the objectification of women taken to each utmost extreme, quite literally selling women’s bodies to men for their sexual gratification. Do they not see that just because a woman chose to be degraded for men’s sexual pleasure doesn’t mean that she is suddenly empowered by the degradation? She is still demeaned by a man but just because she is paid it’s suddenly a non issue? There should be no price tag to dignity.

Exactly.
It’s an ILLUSION of choice. If those women could quickly and easily make that money in different ways accessible to them, would they still “choose” sex work?
Maybe. I doubt, but I don’t know. What I do know is that if women ever CHOSE sex work because they truly enjoyed getting paid to do the things they do and it was a true choice, they would define ALL THE LIMITS and ALL THE STYLES. Sex work wouldn’t cater to the customer in the same way that artists don’t often cater to their patrons.

I also hate how they act like everything women do is above criticism if they’re leftists or not conventionally pretty. They pick and choose who to meangirl to based on political affiliations and visual aesthetics while pretending to be above it all and non-judgmental (ha!).
This is why I don’t accept their criticism of FDS as “not being supportive of women” because they are very transparent on what kind of women they do and don’t support.
They pretend we’re* the only judgmental ones when they clearly set up feminist cultural sacred cows who are above criticism no matter how god awful they are as people (cough Lena Dunham cough) and then dogpile on other women and then try to gaslight everybody into believing they’re the only ones capable and smart enough to discern which women are deserving of support.

Lena Dunham embodies modern internalized libfems misogyny. Lib feminists believe she is empowering because she isn't conventionally attractive and she's overweight and yet she can still be sexy. She and lib feminists goal seems to be getting men to validate all female body types as a form of empowerment rather than questioning why we need male validation to begin with. Guys with pregnancy guts don't care much if women aren't attracted to them. Sure some may whine about it (incels), but ultimately they feel entitled to women's bodies despite that. Sure their first preference is for a woman to like them, but they're always willing to go with the second option and just take it.

This is truly terrifying. There are women who loudly and publicly speak out about violence against women, domestic abuse, family annihilators etc, but in the next breath those same women defend violent abuse of women in sex and scream down anyone who wants to point out their cognitive dissonance. Has anyone noticed in the dating and relationships subs that slapping, choking, anal, hair pulling, spitting etc has become normalized and none of it is even classed as BDSM anymore? That’s just mainstream sex now.

I hate that it's called 'radical' feminism tbh, given the modern understanding of the word. Radical comes from the Latin word for root, and it's about going back to original feminist principles and looking at the root cause of women's oppression. I think the extremist connotations prevent a lot of libfems from considering what we're saying...

Liberal feminists present themselves as an easy going, open-minded, all women loving group. But not when it comes to radical feminists, their own roots. They treat them like vile, hateful creatures, undeserving of any sympathy. They don't want to reason with them or engage in feminist conversations based on scientific stats. They accuse them of hate speech for wanting safe spaces. They throw demeaning terms at them like an angry 5-year old child who doesn't get its way. How ironic how they gatekeep feminism in the name inclusiveness. The saddest part is how they fail to realize how they speak from a position of privilege and power. A position they only inherent because of past radical feminist's fights for them.

Yeah, heaps of movements started that way and ended with the masses having a realisation and conversion so what's their point?
You can draw this up for any time period in history and replace 'Libfem' with 'Mainstream ideology' and 'Radfem' with Gay Marriage, Civil Rights Movement, Women's Liberation Movement, Women's Suffrage, etc etc etc.
