I am currently in a position now where I can move for work (I currently live in NYC). While there are a lot of things I love about NY, there is plenty I hate too. Don't want to bore you all with the details but there is a reason that "Sex and the City" was set here and no where else.

Anyways, I was just wondering, is there any place in the US where the dating scene is better? I don't expect to land in a new city and meet my future husband the next day, but ideally I'd like to be in a place where 30 year olds aren't allergic to commitment, "what are we" talk is minimal or doesn't exist (ie exclusivity is implied after a certain number of dates), wanting marriage/kids is not looked at as "weird", and there is still a pool of educated, late 20s/early 30s men who actually want to seriously date.

I realize the perfect city for dating doesn't exist, and I'm fine with that, but I was just wondering what it is like outside NYC and where it is better to be. I don't have much tying me down in NY, luckily, so my options are very broad.
