Don’t tell men what you’re looking for, you’re just handing him a tip on how to play you. Deflect the question, say you don’t know, say “the right guy for me I guess?” Or “someone who shows me who they are without knowing what I like.” Act like it’s a dumb question, because it is. Never hand a man a personal playbook on getting into your pants. Let him show you who he is, then judge if that’s what you want.

And yeah, looks to me like he’s trying to lower your expectations for him, which is a red flag in my book.

Yes, he is telling you he can’t meet your standards. There is no need to play games here. Tell him you know that your standards are high, not a lot of guys can live up to them, but you are firm on what you want. So, thanks for chatting and good luck.
