How to get over bad decisions?

We've all been there. That's part of growing up. I guess all you can really do is just not do it again.

Each time those thoughts come up just say you did the best you could do with the information you had at the time but you've learned differently. Stop the thoughts when they come.

First step is to forgive yourself. The second step is to learn from it, whether you journal, listen to podcasts, workout or whatever. Absolutely do what you can to learn from it and see it as an opportunity to continue levelling up.

If you continue to feel bad or full blown shame about past decisions, LVM will be able to sniff that out like junkyard dogs. Remember that it's all growing pains and don't beat yourself up over it.

To answer your last question: yes. So far everyone on here that I've seen has at some point been a pickme or has done unsavory things they aren't proud of (this includes me of course). When we acknowledge that it's part of our journey, we can own it and move on. Part of exhibiting Queen energy is knowing your mistakes, flaws and strengths and owning ALL of them. I sent nudes for the first time in my whole life to my ex because he was a psycho good at acting and I trusted him 100% Flash fwd to our break up and he’s been screaming and carrying on and threatening and finally when I calmed him down he’s goes unprompted “Don’t worry about those nudes you sent, my phone broke and I don’t have them anymore “ I’m like thinking “don’t worry? What would have you done if you had them” And basically he backs up all his photos and I have seen he had nudes of his ex that he said was an “” Accident “” Long story short that creep trades nudes for drugs and weird shit online and is a complete deviant. So somewhere on the net are pics of my face in the shot and full nudes and I have to think about that occasionally and feel sick and gross. But at the end of the day they are deprived and I am a beautiful woman who was tricked- and I’m 1 in a million billion of woman who have been used the same way. So don’t feel alone or stupid sis. You didn’t do anything wrong- all mistakes are are lessons and turning points - forgive yourself for not already knowing what you have recently learned. Lots of love 💓

If you knew he was a creep beforehand you obviously wouldn't have done it. But you didn't know at the time, so there's no use bearing yourself up.

No one knows immediately if something is going to work out. It's only really after.

Just imagine if your sister or cousin would confess to you they did that. You would be shocked but also you would have compassion for them and want them to be better. Try to feel this same compassion and understanding for yourself 💖 people do far more extreme things just look at Mia Khalifa, but you can still come back from it

Every single day you are alive you will make decisions and take actions based on what you think the right thing to do is at the time.

That will be a combination of the information you have, your expectations, your feelings, and past experience.

Most of the time those decisions will be neutral. Sometimes they'll be great. Sometimes they'll be shit.

When they're great or shit, you learn from that, and it influences you future decision making.

At the moment you're fixating on a single bad decision and linking it to your 'worth' as a person, allowing yourself to feel worse than you need to, and in a way that isn't useful.

Step back and look at the bigger picture. You did something you wouldn't have done if you'd known more (which you didn't), or if you'd already had this bad experience (which you hadn't). Now you know more, and you move forward in life with more knowledge and experience to help all future decision making.

I was recently reflecting on all my “bad decisions”. If I could do over my entire life, I would still have to make those mistakes to get where I am in life and have the great things I have now. If you didn’t make these mistakes you would’ve made others.

I once read that nothing was truly a “bad decision” in the moment. You made that decision because you thought it was the best decision based off the facts and knowledge you had at the time.

I did the same thing (except it was my bra) two years ago and I only did it because I had been into this guy for years; I'd never even sent boyfriends sexy pics before. I still feel like a gigantic bozo and honestly quite ashamed for trusting a guy who turned out to be a total predator. I just keep reminding myself that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes, and it also could have turned out so much worse. And hey, at least we're not desperate perverts like these dudes who collect nudes.

Don't beat yourself up over it. It happened in the past and luckily you didn't show your face. We have all made mistakes and we can only grow and learn from them.

I also did the same thing. Sent a booty pic (with a swimsuit on) to one ex, and somehow got talked into nudes with a guy I was in a stupid situationship with. Luckily the nude was of me on my stomach and something told me to cut my head out. I still regret it, but what's done is done.
