I desperately need help shifting my mindset and fast! I consider myself on my way to fully being a HVW. I’m 24, in law school, have great friends, and wonderful family. I’ve been dating myself and it’s been wonderful. But unfortunately “cuffing season”/engagement season has begun. Now usually, I’d just keep hustling in my career and be unbothered, but this year it seems like the majority of my close friends and close-in-age family members are finding great men or their relationships are being taken to the next level. I’ve met these friends’ SOs and they are truly great guys. My usual self-love and work ethic are starting to feel overshadowed by doubt and loneliness. I am NOT trying to go down the pickme path. No way, no how. This is just starting to get to me and I don’t like it.

For example, when my coupled up friends have a bad day, their men will cook them dinner, cuddle up on the couch, and bring them flowers. I know that I’m more than capable of doing that for myself, but sometimes I wish I had someone to help carry the load. I like not having to depend on a man for happiness, but the search is getting tiring. The “why not me?” mindset is bringing me down so much and I know I need to change it up. Any advice or stories would be so appreciated.
