I could actually feel the weight lifting off of me. Yeah there's always the "whatif" thoughts but I've never regretted blocking someone after I've done it. The sense of calm that washes over me knowing I'm fully safe and in control again is priceless. Now all that energy can be spent on my hobbies, socializing with good friends, reading, going for a run, etc. All those experiences become cozy and warm vs dreadful and worrisome/stuck in my head.

Good for you! Cheers. I remember the first time I blocked a man, I felt so nervous. I was going against all my instincts -- those are, the instincts to question and doubt my instincts as they pertained to men (thanks, patriarchy!) -- yet it paid off. At least now I know any man who finds a way to contact me post-block is deliberately disregarding my boundaries.

I recently blocked a guy that made my life emotional hell for almost a decade. The amount of relief I had when I blocked him on everything and knew in my heart I would never speak to him again.... FDS is truly a blessing

I am so proud of you for taking this huge step. Alot of Subs on reddit say that blocking shows how much you care about the other person that even if they aren’t reaching out but seeing their mere presence on the platform is bothering you hence, shows they still have control over you. That’s not the case, at this point you shouldn’t even want to give any fucks about how your ex thinks nor give any fucks about him. I can bet on my fingernail that he doesn’t care.

Moreover, blocking will remove any hope of him coming back, and will give you hope to look forward to new things life has to offer.

Been thinking of blocking my loooooong long long term ex (15 years on/off). I barely hear from him anymore since I confronted him about all the crap he put me through.

But when his mom died he reached out to me for emotional support and I was extremely polite but curt. As if I’m going to let his cheap, zero commitment, non-ring producing ass cry on my shoulder.

Yeah, I've recently realised if I am ever contemplating whether to block someone, that is in itself a sign to block them. Immediately a weight off my shoulders.

Right now I’m processing the rude slow fade/ ghost combo, and I feel so drawn to block him.... Waking up everyday thinking “surely he’ll text today!” And he never does. It breaks my heart. We were intimate and I thought that we had connected. It hurts me inside of my heart to be treated this way. It hurts so much to feel irrelevant. I deleted his number but I can’t bring myself to block yet. Will blocking him serve me well at this point?

I blocked the serial user I had given 2 yrs of my life to but I had to talk to him about tying up loose ends, and I realize it’s more fulfilling to watch the bitch blow my phone up and I just ignore his calls and leave the bitch on READ. 🥂 FDSqueennow.
