This is the one. I wish I could drill this into the collective female consciousness. Closure is a myth. Relationships aren’t jobs, you don’t get an exit interview. I don’t think I’ve ever had a relationship post-Mortem convo that was productive and respectful. It just ends up being an argument where you feel shittier and sadder by the end, or they try to reel you back in and you feel confused and turned around. The time for talking has passed. We had a whole-ass relationship in which you could have talked to me.

Don't ever do this! 100% agree. Most of them will eventually give up and come to you for this "one last conversation" even if it takes them 10 years. And then you'll realize that whatever they say is stupid so honestly, what's the point.

I ghosted my ex that I was with for 3 years. I voiced my needs, he didn’t meet them. I moved out, and he still continued to contact me (& I stupidly responded for a while, this was back in the day when I was still in my pickmeisha vibes & was too afraid of hurting men. 🤦🏻‍♀️)Then one day he text me his usual “good morning” text & I decided I had enough. I blocked him. I actually saw him in December (5 years after our breakup) and he tried to talk to me & he gave me a list of songs “I should listen to” & told me to “text him my opinion” LOL! I immediately threw away his song suggestions. I was also bothered by his audacity to assume that I still had his number (which I didn’t.) What a narcissistic scrote!

You don’t owe anyone an explanation especially when it comes to someone that treated you poorly. Trust me, it’s a waste of time to send “one last text” to explain your feelings. Be selfish and only worry about yourself, level up & move on!
