That post enrages me to my fucking core.

I am so SICK of women being nice. This shit needs to stop right the fuck now. The dude is a RAPIST. He brutally beat and raped her to the point where it caused her to miscarry. He is not worthy of forgiveness. He’s a micro-dicked little piggy who deserves the bloody electric chair for his crimes.

I especially hated it when she talked about how she believed him when he said that he was sorry as he cried at the stand. Like, girl, he does not give a flying fuck about hurting you. Those are crocodile tears. He’s only crying and apologizing because he’s being put on blast in a courtroom. Stop. Being. Naive. Just stop.

And the comments... Oh my god. Everyone who’s saying that she’s commendable for forgiving this degenerate is so full of crap. If the genders were reversed and a dude was talking about forgiving his female rapist, I guarantee that the comment section would be full of people telling him that it’s okay to feel hate.

Ugh. I hate this world. Everything about that post was pure horseshit.

I believe her story in general. But when she posted "to my rapist I...." and continued to say she wishes him the best and he's strong and will get through his jail sentence 🤮

Fake shit. IF she said that stuff, shes either trying to convince herself and feel better, or she's genuinely insane.

That whole post made my stomach turn. Disgusting. Imagine COMFORTING the man that ruined your life. Being as vulnerable as she is, I can't call her low value, because she's mentally unstable and finding anything or any reason to feel better. But she needs SERIOUS mental help.

Thankfully most of the comments on that post say it's okay to not forgive your abuser/ assaulter/ rapist. And that this guy should rot behind bars, and that his tears were an act. All of which I fully believe. I used to support reformative justice back when I was 16-18, but as I was exposed to the horror of how cruel most men are capable of being over the years, I find it difficult that reformative measures such as psychotherapy or some form of re-education will actually affect these men. I think they are very capable of just pretending they believe in the right (aka not sexist) things. I've known men who've done that. Even my own abuser did a very good job of faking being feminist (which was one reason I was with him in the first place; took me a while to understand what he was doing to me). These men won't change unless something very bad happens to them. Sometimes not even then.

This woman sounds very brave though, more props to her. I just wish victims weren't encouraged to prematurely forgive their assailants. It's very harmful.

It's a coping mechanism. Overcoming grief and moving on for one's own sake might include "forgiveness". I think it's one more reason to have compassion with the victim...they are so low that they need to forgive the unforgivable just to live a somehwat normal life.

When I first saw that, my first thought was that it was probably therapeutic for her to not hold onto that burden of hate, but then I saw that HE RAPED HER IN AN ALLEYWAY!!! What the fuck was he even crying for? He did that shit intentionally, with malice. What a crock of shit, that whole post.

Yeah we can't judge her. I feel so so bad for her. She is trying to cope, and her subconscious mind figured this may be the best way. She really needs therapy and support. I hope her family and friends are just straight up loving her so hard no matter what because that's what she needs, and then one day she will wake up and realize.

This is beyond a normal circumstance of dating a LVM btw. This is trauma. And this is how she is coping. Everyone copes in different ways. Alot of the way victims cope doesnt logically make sense. Especially if you're doing it alone. Hopefully she will get therapy. And getting help takes a lot of courage too. People who have been sexually abused can understand this. Sexual trauma hits differently than all other types of abuse. If you dont understand, just be thankful you dont.

What we can do for her is just pray for her. And send her words of love and light.

I'm one of those people who doesn't think you need to forgive to move on. It takes longer. It takes alot if mental control to not ket yourself be in denial about people bring cruel on purpose and enjoying it. Getting to the point where no longer care does not mean you've had to forgive them. But in order to do this you have to accept how dark the world you live in can be and sometimes that's worse for people. In her case, this was REALLY traumatic. Forgiveness is one of the steps to healing for multiple reasons. I disagree with it, but it's an unpopular opinion, and I eiukfnt want to slow down anyone's healing process.

I swear some posts like that must be fake, or an attempt to sway “public opinion” on rape... kind of like how most reddit searches on rape, or even searches on g00gle will lead to tons of “false rape claim” articles and posts.
