I dated this guy for a minute, years ago.... We were at his place and he said he was going to Carl's Junior and would I like to join him? So we go, and he asks what I would like, I tell him, he orders, pulls up to the drive through and asks me for the $2.50 that was my order. I was pretty shocked, and had left my wallet at his place. He was so angry, and proceeded to explain to me that I can't just expect him to pay for everything! I felt so ashamed. He literally scolded me like a dog. Uuugh, wtf. Fuck these dudes.

I had a fuck buddy last year who I thought was MIA. He came back out of no where and tried to act like he wanted to return some DVDs I’d loaned him then tried to hit me up for sex. I hadn’t eaten anything all day and it was around dinner so I told him I would need to eat first. I literally needed to eat, I could not have sex without eating first but he wanted to make it clear that we were ‘just friends.’ Yeah, friends eat sometimes.

I just went to the the Thai drive through on the corner and ate dinner alone and got back to whatever it was I was doing.

This reminds me of a dude I met on tinder. He wanted to see me somewhere where he didn’t have to pay for anything. I initially thought that he was just looking for a hook up so I told him that I respect whatever he’s looking for but I don’t go that fast with men I don’t know. He replied “no problem . We can still hang. You live alone right ?!”. He wasn’t looking for just a hookup, he was looking for a free place to stay .

My coworker just had a conversation exactly like this when we got off of work. She hadn't eaten all day and he was calling to confirm that she was going over to his place later. She told him yes, but that she was craving a burger and asked him if they could eat first and he said, "Yeah that's fine, grab me a shake and some fries on your way over." 😦😦

Another thing is when they ask you what time you're eating dinner then they say "ok I'll meet up with you after then". Every dude who's tried this on me got stood up, blocked then deleted.

I've been on a handful of first dates where the guy asks me out for dinner and then doesn't order anything for himself. I say, "are you sure?" he says "yea it's okay I already ate"

I'm sorry what? YOU are the one who asked ME out for dinner. It feels weird as hell for me to order a meal alone and then sit there while you watch me eat. And yes, I am definitely going to order something, because this is a DINNER date and I haven't eaten all day and I'm fucking STARVING.

Just, why? Is it because they don't wanna pay? Obviously I'm gonna pay for for my own meal if the bill is 100% my stuff.

If a guy pulls this shit on me, it's a dealbreaker: as soon as the date is over I will never speak to him again. If he doesn't wanna pay for my $20 meal he's too poor to be in a relationship.
