When you start dating someone, pick a date to check back in with yourself to see how things are going. Ideally, you do this once a month throughout the whole relationship, giving you honest reflection time. If things aren't going the way you like, course correct or leave.

With the last guy I dated, I told myself "if there's no commitment in two months, bounce." And that's what I did. It was enough time for him to determine if he was interested in being serious, and it was obvious he wasn't so bye.

Bingo. I have gotten 2 absolutely clear F you signals from men from my past in the past 4 days and they are banished to the hellmouth forever. Those chapters are superglued shut. Only new disappointments, no old ones. 💀

I'm using last year's situationship to move the mattress out of my place. I'm can't carry that king size memory foam by myself.

I keep struggling with the urge to unblock my LVX. I have less than zero romantic interest. What I actually miss is having a familiar person to chitchat about whatever with. He doesn’t deserve my attention, and I don’t like him at all, so I think I will stay strong even though I realistically don’t expect to make friends any time soon.

I just can’t understand sticking around for months and months on end without even establishing that you’re actually in a relationship, if what you actually want is a relationship.
