First; I know I should post this on AskFds but I want to reach a bit more women because to be honest, I really need support and advice on this since this is very important to me.
TLDR at bottom.
I'm in the process of setting real boundaries and my standards when it comes to dating are very on point. Except for my friendships.
I have a friend group that I just don't feel compatible with anymore and there's 1 friend, my "best friend" who's always been the leader of this group. He is very passive aggressive, he minimizes me and he could do this for several years. I actually could write a book about it. However I feel now that I gave him so many chances and every time we had a conversation, he love bombed me afterwards, I gave him my time and then he pushes me away little by little and the cycle starts again, this is a real pattern. The other friends in the group basically agreeing with me on one hand but saying different things when they are with them or they're saying that "in a nice way" that I overreact and that he did changed a bit in his behavior for example. Which I feel is simply not true.
I really want to confront him how I feel he replaces me easily and that I feel that he just doesn't give a fuck about me and my feelings at all and when someone comes over that is more convenient for him, he doesn't bother to call or invite me.
However I feel that I can't block and delete him since he lives nearby, we've been "friends" for more then 10 years and we have this group chat and everything together.
This really drains me and I just can't deal with this anymore. I'm just so anxious to confront him about this and I know me being so anxious is already a sign that this friendship is super toxic but I just don't know what to with this anymore. I feel literally blocked inside my body even thinking about a confrontation with him when I know it's nessecary.
How do I stand up for myself when it comes to this? And did you ever experience anything like this?
(Also I don't feel this way in any friendship, I can cut off people quiet easily but with him it's different because I really feel that he's a narc and he completely brainwashed me to be very honest)
TLDR; Super anxious about standing up for myself to my narc "best friend" and don't know what to do
