I don’t believe it’s a good use of time and energy for me. The return on the investment of time and frustration is far too low. If I got that kind of return on any other area of my life, I would think something was very wrong and needed to change. I have become hyper aware of the value of my time and how important it is to be judicious about how I use it. Wading through oceans of narcissists, fuckboys, broken boys, and posers is mismanagement in my eyes.

That said, I completely understand why ppl use it and I don’t judge them for it. I just tapped out and have been so much happier without the annoyance and dread that comes with 96.997% of the men on apps.

Not worth it. Guys on OLD have two delusions:

(1) there is an unlimited number of women who are potentially interested in them

(2) if a woman matches with him, she's super into him and he doesn't have to put any effort into courting her

Hence why so many guys on OLD put forth little to no effort in texting, planning dates, or maintaining a woman's interest

Of course fuckboys flock to dating apps.

They can find a pickmesha quicker than they can order a pizza online from Dominos, and she won't charge a delivery fee.

I completely agree that majority of the men OLD are either fuckboys, creeps or la basura. Even living in a decent sized city, some of the guys that I’ve seen out and look familiar are the same ones OLD! Therefore I realized, if you cannot approach me in person but are actively exchanging messages with me. Bye ✌️

Ive also encountered too many married men on there.

I don’t have the time and patience anymore to deal with bullshit.

OLD is a huge waste of time. I’ve been on nearly 50 dates from them, and not a single one turned into a lasting relationship.

You’re better off being patient and meeting someone in the wild. I know it’s tough rn with Coronavirus, but maybe there’s a socially distanced gathering you can go to with friends?

On OLD, it’s a matter of sifting through garbage to find a gem. Two of my friends found their significant others on an app and they are genuinely good people. It’s possible if you have patience.

I don’t know if now is the time to use them especially with all that’s going on. I met my current boyfriend on Hinge but I won’t knock them because we wouldn’t have met without OLD. But I will say, you need to go in with no expectations and really high standards/many boundaries. This will help weed out a lot of the guys who don’t meet your criteria. Be casual, and have fun with it. Don’t let it stress you out at all cause that’s not the point of them.

But again, dating has been made hard at the moment so be cautious using the apps.

Like Fergie said- we got reasons why we tease them, boys just come and go like seasons. If you are HVW and have the time, we make it work by having it work for us. We don’t spend all day on there or have high expectations for what we may find, we merely see if we can go have fun with someone who is interested and vet them at our own risk. It’s a gamble

I don't think old is worth it.

I downloaded it the other day and made a fake profile. I just wanted to see what was out there. I swiped through about 500 photos and was maybe genuinely attracted to 5-10 of them. What percentage of those guys were not just looking for sex? And what percentage of those are genuinely compatible?

And it's also just not romantic.
