If you live in the US, many states offer free searches of criminal/civil court records. Visit your state’s court website and look for the records search option. Some states do charge and/or don’t have it fully available online. But my state doss have it online, and I found out sooo much about men I met/dated…like domestic violence, bankruptcy etc. My friends joked I’m a stalker, but it’s public records and I have a right to know the history of these men that were are lying to me.

Truthfinder but I pay. It’s not perfect, but it does have a history of physical addresses and email accounts they created (though some may be wrong) so you can check for profiles with them.

If you're in America all you need is a real name and birthday. Start with their first and last name in Google with their city/zip code. "John Smith 34578" or "John Smith Miami" you'll find previous addresses, current address, partial emails, and relatives on a few sites. Next you want to try their county and surrounding counties Clerk of Court websites. Go to civil court cases to find out if they're married, fed for divorce, or going through custody battles, speeding tickets/vehicle infractions. Also check criminal cases. I found out a guy I had briefly dated raped a girl years before we met and his behavior made complete and total sense after seeing that case filed against him by the state. Use his family members name to find his social media, they'll tag him his friends cousins and post photos. Numlookup dot com to find out who his cell service is registered to. A name should pop up if it is registered. Spokeo dot com does a good job of getting info. I've used it quite a bit.

In the UK we have Clare's Law, which means you are legally entitled to know if a man you are dating has a recorded history of domestic/sexual violence. You can make a request to the police to find out if a man has a record like this.

Get a subscription to Ancestry.com. From there you can check out the story on who the person is, where they have lived, actual age, perhaps marital status. Then use your state or county superior court case search function to look for criminal cases and family law cases. Use county assessor's offices to see what real property the person owns. LinkedIn will confirm or disprove work history in professionals. Plain ol' Google goes a long way if you have a full name to search.

I’m a big fan of Spokeo, rarely do I struggle to find information on a guy. I also use Mr Number, it’s a popular app for sex workers so if a guy sees them and is violent towards them or calls them and wastes their time, you’ll find that out too. I’ve found many men on there who I never would have guessed would be interested in prostitutes. Just another method of vetting!
