Don’t do this . All you’re doing is keeping hope that he’ll have a reason to come crawling back to you. He probably will, bc men are notorious for breaking up just to come begging later on to see if he still has control over you/boost their ego. When he comes back don’t let him back in either. Block him on everything , including his phone #. Don’t worry about his stuff and what he’s doing because he certainly wouldn’t be concerned about your stuff or what you’re up to. Stop being nice and caring. All of that should’ve ended the moment he broke up with you.

Absolutely this. And another thing the moment he made that decision, to end it, ghost, all that shebang, it was done. Take that as a final decision, regardless if he ever changes his mind. You don't owe him a thing. There is no more analysis needed in this situation. He's a waste of mental energy.

Please, honey, read the handbook front to back.
Realize this jerk was future faking you and decided he was in too deep when you two started talking about buying property together, panicked and ditched.
If he is fine treating you like this once, why on earth would you want this guy? He clearly has no compunctions about your feelings or well being.
Think long and hard about the way he treated you: shit like this doesn't come out of nowhere unless he was a true sociopath and a master at hiding himself.
[–]dembar126FDS Newbie 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No. It's tempting to want to find reasons to reach out, like going to his house to return his shit hoping he'll talk to you, tell you he misses you etc. But you're only sacrificing your own dignity and showing him he has power over you. Don't contact him and throw the shit away.
[–]Alarming-Midnight-73FDS Newbie 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Absolutely not.
Ghosting after a 7 month relationship is incredibly cowardly. And no matter how kind he may have been during the relationship, this cowardly hurtful behavior negates all that.
My ex (who broke up the relationship horribly) asked me to ship his things back to him 3 months after the breakup (we were LDR) as a "courtesy" because he shipped my things back to me. I told him I would never do that. You don't have to be kind to people who treat you like sh*t.

I'm a little confused. Did he ghost her? Or did he just break up with her and move on? If he ghosted her that's fucked, but if he broke up with her and just left her to her own devices, it doesn't really seem that weird.
[–]Alarming-Midnight-73FDS Newbie 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good catch; I missed that. Looks like he broke up with her 2 weeks ago and now nothing. It could have been a wishy-washy "taking a break" where she thought they'd work it out (which full clown face time, I thought the same thing. In fact the only reason my ex asked me to ship his stuff is because I asked him to ship mine once I felt that we were done for good).
In that case, all the more reason to just dump his stuff and move on with your life. OP really has too much empathy here and not enough ego.

Oh, then nahhhh. Do not contact him. Throw his crap out. Totally different if it's JUST breaking up, but an unnecessary, alcohol fueled fight with no resolution is an LVM way out.
[–]BbqchilifriesFDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Nope. Forget about him. Block the f*** out of him don't even let him have any contact. He can't respectfully respond to you then you cut any sort of potential for communication.
If those things are important, he'll find a way to reach out to get them, through a friend or something. And if he does find a way it better be on your time and not inconvenience you. You are better than that.
Don't waste your breath or time girl. It's not your responsibility to get his stuff to him.
[–]YellowsunflowerloverFDS Newbie 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You can either throw it away or box it up and leave it outside your door for him to pick up and send a message stating what you have done. He wants to ghost you..he can pick up his trash or be okay with it disappearing.

If a man treats you like a toy be Annabelle.
Agreeing with everybody. Sis, some tough love real talk here:
He didn't decide to call it quits "out of nowhere", and suddenly after "one fight". The faster you realize this the better. He had made up his mind LONG time before he dumped you, probably around the 3-month-mark when the first excitements of new and variety tapered off for him. It's called honeymoon and hormone phase for a reason.
Yep. He got himself too excited over pussy, and then told you what you wanted to hear/stretched it out with you until month 6 when he already was looking for the next supply, instead of transparently communicate his changed feelings for you. He took the cowards way out and to reinforce this he ghosted. lol.. what a winner. You just dodged a massive bullet there, like you have no idea.
Cowards suck. And most men are cowards with their emotions. Your story happens thousands of times every minute. Genuinely sorry it happened to you.
But now stop being so god damn nice. Up your standards drastically. He discards you like a piece of trash, monkeybranched AND ghosted you, and you are even thinking about BRINGING THEM TO HIS DOORSTEP ?
The motherfucker should have known about his vaccine card before he declared emotional bankrupcy to you.
Throw away, ghost back, 0 moral issues. Block and delete if you want to, I personally have a left on read forever section where guys like this float to. He will come back to you in a coupla months latest, to dump the bad conscience on you he created for himself. What a massive mistake he made. How much he still loves you. And see whether that pussy is still available, of course. It's called pinging.
Again, the sooner you learn all this the better. You're saving yourself the heartache, potentially for years to come.

If he doesn’t care about his stuff, why should you?
[–]pretty_kill 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If he wanted it, he would have mentioned picking it up during the breakup. I say trash it and block him.
[–]GIfuckingJaneFDS STRATEGY COACH 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, throw it all away
[–]Fatt3stAveng3rFDS Disciple 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The most I would do is leave the vaccine card at his doorstep - that's the only thing that might matter, but he should have thought about that beforehand.
Don't try to contact him. Block him on everything.
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link
Hmm, unless he was an LVM, I would hold onto it for maybe a week or two to see if he reaches out to pick it up (contactless pickup like you would a restaurant lmao), but if after that he has no interest in his things then just toss them. Don't deliver it to him and don't contact him. Ghosting an ex isn't really that unusual and I would probably do the same, so I don't think that automatically qualifies as inappropriate behavior on his part. But ultimately, don't reach out and don't drop it off. If he cares that much about his stuff, he will take initiative.
EDIT: Did he ghost her? If he did, then he sucks, but if he just broke up with her and moved on, then it doesn't automatically mean that he's trash.
[–]dembar126FDS Newbie 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's been 2 weeks already. He doesn't care. She needs to throw it out.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh didn't realize that. Then yeah toss it.
[–]RabidWenchFDS Disciple 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Uhhhh, he ditched her without a second glance. He IS a LVM. At most I would give his shit to his friends, so they can pass it on.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
When someone wants to break up they don't need a reason. I think it would have been weirder if they did keep talking. When you break up with someone, you generally don't give them a second glance. I sure don't, even if the person was great. It's not that unheard of for someone to get over a relationship within a week, I have and have known others who have as well. She should toss the stuff out, I had a brain fart and simultaneously acknowledged and missed that it had been about two weeks already lol
[–]RabidWenchFDS Disciple 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't care how fast he moved on, so much as his behavior around the split. Whether he was future faking her, or couldn't mentally cope with the next step of their relationship (they were literally talking about buying property that morning), it marks him as not worthy of her. That is LV behavior.

Agreed, and I made my comment before all this context. But from the original post, it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.

Do check the laws wherever you live before you do anything. In my country it's actually illegal to throw away stuff someone left at your house and you'd have to undergo a stupidly bureaucratic process to get rid of it (ask me how I know..). And the last thing anybody needs is a scrote trying to sue you for breaking their toys.
So depending on that I'd throw them into his driveway or the local dump.
[–]Alarming-Midnight-73FDS Newbie 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
interesting! How do they verify that? I've thrown away things accidentally before. What if one were to also throw away an ex's belongs "accidentally"? Or what if you were to move house?
[–]The_PyramidionPickmeisha™️ 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I suppose in the same way they do it for theft? If they can pony up a receipt for whatever or pictures with them and the stuff in it that would probably be a good start. Idk I'm not a lawyer and it's probably not something that's going to end in more than a slap on the wrist here but the last thing you should do with narcs is give them legal ammo.
