I don’t want to brag but this sub has been a wonderful addition to my life and great wake up call. I spent 6 months or so getting my life order and leveling up. This includes negotiating higher pay, losing 10 pounds (back to size 0-2 jeans!!!), getting better skincare/makeup, buying myself nice jewelry as a treat, going to the gym regularly, learning the piano...basically I started treating myself well. And I became my own best boyfriend.

Well, just by luck I also met my now boyfriend months later after starting that. And I loved myself to accept the love he gave by that time. I started accepting compliments and gifts and let him help me instead of “pick-meishaing” myself into being a slave to the relationship or sabotaging it. I let myself enjoy it and I spoke up if he did anything that I didn’t like. And obviously because he’s a good guy (HVM status pending...) he just apologizes and never does it again.

There’s no arguments, just talking about feelings and it’s a breeze. When he does my dishes, I let him. When he makes my bed, I let him. When he cooks for me or takes me out, I let him and just say “thank you” graciously. I feel that he accepts me for who I am and treats me well because I also know my worth and am ready to walk out the moment he disrespects me. He wants to add to my life and has said that he’ll do almost anything to make me smile...so far, he has stepped up to the plate. He always takes me all the way home up to my front door because I care about my safety. He finds my “flaws” endearing and never thinks I’m too much. He is generous with his affection, acts of service and wants to introduce me to his friends/life. I feel treasured and loved and can’t believe I ever settled for less

I always hesitate to reply to these posts, since it feels like I am bragging. I'm happily married and have been for a year. I am confident that my man, while not perfect, is certainly high-value. He ticks a lot of the classic "good on paper" tick-boxes (handsome, successful, smart, talented, good in bed) and has a lot of the qualities that make a person wonderful to have in your life (kindness, empathy, consideration, desire for self-improvement, responsible, etc).

The *only* thing I really did right was hold back and take time getting to know my husband. In the past I fell hard and fast and excused lots of inexcusable or disappointing behaviour because I was crazy about a guy. With my husband I really went in with my eyes open, and I was ready to dump him if he turned out to be a jerk.

My husband turned out to be a wonderful, supportive partner, but I didn't do anything other than show up. Thankfully, I was at the right place in my life to receive him, but good lord did I waste a lot of time with sub-standard men before I met him.

I’ve had success with identifying low value and low effort people from my life, both romantic and otherwise, and removing them without regret. I feel confident with my requirements to be treated well. I have had success mentally and physically and my life is overall better than it was before.

The long term relationship success will happen, because now I know how to behave and what to expect. I’m extremely grateful for FDS

My biggest success story so far is finding this sub.

I put more effort and energy into everything else and working on leveling up. No man in my life has ever spoiled me more than I spoil myself.

Well it’s not a relationship exactly, but thanks to FDS I became comfortable with the fact that marriage and kids isn’t something I’m actively searching for in life. If it happens, it happens but thanks to you wonderful ladies I can be happy where I am without guilt or shame. So I’d call that a success!

I was always naturally fds in many ways but being here has really opened my eyes to the why and how and also the details.

It’s made me a lot more confident in dealing with men (I don’t date and not currently interested in finding a man) and I also feel closer to women. Both huge wins in my book.

For me, it was a freakin roller coaster because we were both so young, but we’re closing out on almost 2 decades together—and though he’s not perfect (nor am I), my husband is a textbook HVM (good career, fit, handsome, kind, considerate, a good lover, romantic, fatherly, family oriented, etc). I’d say my biggest thing is standards—I don’t budge, and he is eager to rise to them. That’s the other thing, the man has to WANT to be a good man, there’s only so much one can do to lead them if they don’t want to be that. So I’d say vetting is step one, because the guy has to have the innate goodness and will to improve, otherwise you’re gonna be stuck with a LVM asshat. I lucked out, to be honest we fell into each other like fate (not to sound corny), because I evolved into my inner badass, but I was very “green” and naive before, not as capable of FDS-style logic and vetting.

Being together this long has its unique challenges, as you are literally growing and evolving over your lifetime with another individual going through the same—there will be clashes and issues and such, but it’s how you approach it and each other. It’s about how much WILL there is to overcome and love one another and respect one another through the bad times as well as the good. If you picked well, you’ll watch your husband grow over time and rise to meet the adversities head on, not cower, give up, or abandon.

Before I found this sub, I was already starting to get therapy. I dropped all the guys that I had talked to and focused more on my studies.

Looking back, I’ve realized I was unhappy for almost ten years. I didn’t find joy in things, suffered from an untreated PTSD and occasional anxiety. I forgot how to love the things I used to love. It breaks my heart, but I’m healing. Slowly, but surely, I’m re-learning to enjoy myself, my hobbies, my relationships with friends and family.

This sub really has helped me define my standards. At this point in my life, if a man does not perform to the best of his ability to impress and get me interested, I lose interest even if I like his so-called personality. No more wasting time
