You should be vetting them to the extreme. I pay for background checks and use apps to vet. I gotta know if you’re in debt, going through a divorce/married or a criminal.

I asked to see their licenses on first dates. Told them they could cover up the address, I just wanted to confirm the name and age. If we changed locations during the date, I also made sure they realized I was taking a picture of their license plates. Any guy that made fun of me for it was an instant "DONE."
When I went on the first date with my now husband, did the same thing. His response? Not even a hint of thinking it was funny when I asked for the license and just showed it to me. When we decided to leave the restaurant to go for a walk, we had to drive to where the walking trail was. Did not ride with him; told him to wait until I pull around before leaving so I could take a picture of his car and plates. "You can't ever be too safe, I like that you think like that."
