I am optimistic. The pandemic has adversely affected women but the bigger trends are in our favor.

Women are consistently out-performing men in educational attainment. That in turn translates to more women in skilled and professional jobs.

At the same time, there is at least a conversation about sexual harassment and unequal treatment and a growing willingness to act against it. We have a long way to go but we are on that path.

Where I am pessimistic, is when it comes to men taking on 50% of childcare and emotional labor. But I don’t believe that women will allow that to hold them back in their careers to the point that it will counter our educational advantage.

The next challenge is to reach out to the girls who aren’t going to college, who are living with LV men and working minimum wage jobs. We need to encourage them to develop their skills and not stay stuck in a lifetime of servitude based on decisions they made when they were eighteen.

Maybe this is why scrotes are so much more obsessed with " pumping iron" being in the gym and doing all sorts of extreme workouts than they were in previous generations. Before, only lowlife criminals. convicts, felons, and holywood minorities were so into "pumping iron." Now its seems every college bro LVM is into pumping! It is the only area where they are biologically "stronger" than women. And yet the need for male " muscle" in 95% of modern jobs is nil. We've got powerful machines and robots which can increasingly do 99% of heavy lifting labor that men were " needed" for. I personally never found the 'roided up beefers attractive. I like men with lean, natural muscle, who work out to stay fit, but who spend the rest of the time learning, exploring, doing things which are productive. Spending every free hour in the gym is such a waste of time and "potential"

This is promising, but I suppose it applies more to big cities in liberal areas. A fair amount of things in the article don't mesh with where I live. It's funny because I was just looking up demographic information on my city last night. Men dominate all management positions here and they also significantly out-earn women. The vast majority of our impoverished are women and girls. And I live in the US -- just in a conservative hellhole.

Men see that they're falling behind but refuse to change. I really think that motherhood is the one area where they'll try to continue to rig the system by disenfranchising women so they don't have to get with the times. We're seeing it now during the pandemic. Men won't take care of their kids so women are having to quit their jobs or are trying to juggle WFM, homeschool, childrearing, and housework all at once.

This is such an interesting article, thank you for posting it; worth the long read. It’s interesting what they write about the 2008 recession having mostly affected male jobs, seeing that the pandemic mostly affected female careers.

A silver lining might be that the burden disparity during Covid was so great that it put a spotlight on the issue and women will realize they are better off alone.
