Oh, fetlife. Fetlife is horrifying. I've been downvoted on here for saying it but that's literally where my now ex husband is finding teenagers to screw. No grooming or time investment needed. Young women 18 - 25 put up profiles on there looking for "daddies" for their daddy-daughter kink. I found a couple who are 16 put said they were 18 to get on the site. 16 is legal where I live.

I don’t see how people who practice BDSM can complain about the racism and abuse that happens within jt, when the entire premise of BDSM is based on abuse and lack of respect, particularly towards women. All the Doms I met were rampant misogynists who got into BDSM through porn. They eventually decided to enact what they saw in porn on women. BDSM cannot take the moral high ground on any issue whatsoever, not when they think it’s acceptable for grown adults to get off on cosplaying as children.

How can you separate BDSM from racism? Often the humiliation aspect involves race - being degraded by someone of a different race. And of course, the whole paraphernalia of bondage and whips and all that garbage, is directly inspired from the imagery and legacy of slavery. The whole thing is utterly contemptible and cannot be made respectable or salvageable.

Going on Fetlife is like going on plenty of fish or swiping on tinder in a small town. At least in my area, it's a joke, everyone is hideous or has no fucking clue how to take a good photo, even the women have poor taste sorry. I was shocked because I expected people to put tons of effort into sex since it's such a strong drive. But no one super attractive or high value of any gender is there. I'm counting bad profiles, bad writing and bad photos against any of the men who had good bodies. Idiocy is ugly too.
