So many red flags here. I wonder how she even knows that he told his parents about her? Is there proof? Has she met them and introduced herself as his gf? Cause if not, I wouldn’t trust they know.

Also, I don’t know if it’s woke or not woke to say that certain cultures and religions in the world are patriarchal and prejudiced to an extreme degree. I know love is love, but think about what you’re trying to marry into and how you will be treated as an outsider.

I think western women should just stay away from muslim and other eastern men in general, i'm eastern european and from a muslim family and i see this play out all the time, they have a nice western gf to pass the time until their parents nag them into marrying some subservient housewife from the old country and the gf gets dropped like hot potatoes, it's just tragic :/

Hey 👋🏻 I haven’t met his family because they live overseas and up until recently he hadn’t met mine either because we planned on breaking up when he left for his fellowship (he did end up meeting my family because I was in the hospital but that’s a different situation). The eventual breakup was a mutual decision and then we both decided we don’t want that which is when he told his family about me and that he plans on marrying me. No, I do not have proof of him telling his family but I do know his brother knows so I’m assuming the whole fam knows. I really don’t think I’m being cheated on lol I think he’s just very private but again who knows! Also he has since apologized and agreed that he was being TA. Thanks for your concern everyone!
