They don't want to have to deal with crimes against girls and women such as child marriage, forced marriage, FGM, grooming/rape gangs that target indigenous British schoolgirls, and honor killings, because these crimes are disproportionately committed by minority "Asian" (read: Pakistani male Muslim) perpetrators, making it much more politically charged. They'll keep throwing girls and women under the bus not to he called racists or xenophobes.

I don’t feel catcalling is the top of our priorities right now

Likewise I don’t think ‘man spreading’ is either

Wtf is that going to do when only 1.6% of rape cases make it to court in the U.K.

The law isn’t fit for purpose - it’s just there to pretend it’s protecting us when realistically it isn’t

It’s a thin veneer

Until misogyny is made a crime & they go after the sexist porn industry and these manosphere training camps/ online pedo rings….nothing will change

Reddit has tons of abusive disgusting violent material waged at woman & doesn’t do shit

There’s tons of porn videos showing women being forced into anal prolapse or choked

But they apparently care about us being catcalled….okay

And it makes me wonder if they’re doing this deliberately - to make a mockery of our suffering…

Or whether it’s done out of ignorance / class privilege

Bc some random Joe shouting ‘hey sexy’ is the least of my troubles right now

We have much more pressing issues

Like the manosphere training hoards of men to abuse us online & making loser pick up artists 50 x more entitled

Or women being injected with date rape drugs in clubs

Or women being murdered by male cops when walking home at night

Or troubled young girls being encouraged into OnlyFans and sex work bc they come from poverty/ abuse/ have mental issues

Or young girls being groomed into BDSM by porn addict perverts on Tinder

Or single mother’s being expected to pick up the slack for their broke lazy baby father

Or girls being encouraged into one night stands with violent men who may later kill them

Or men preying on mentally ill women trying to drain them of resources & sanity

Or men raping / abusing several women off dating apps and getting away with it

Or teenage girls being stabbed in broad daylight by other males

But no they want to focus on random Joe’s making stupid comments in public - yeah that’ll solve it
