I love an active walk with my friends because we have so much to talk about, have equivalent levels of fitness, and we're never self-conscious about how sweaty or awkward we get on longer hikes.

That's not for a first date. That's not for any date before the 3 month limit.

Having never OLDed until recently, I cannot believe how common it is for guys to ask to go for a walk... like what the fuck! I even had a respectable FDS style dinner date with a guy recently, who apparently had a wonderful time and wanted to see me again, yet all he could come up with was going for a walk. Then, when I turned him down, suggested that I come up with something instead. When I ghosted him after that he followed up offering last minute drinks, and then a passive aggressive comment after I rejected that as well. Couldn’t be any more LVM red flags if he tried! Needless to say I haven’t seen him again.

UGH yes! I used to be so guilty of accepting these types of dates when I was younger. Listen, if he can’t even plan a fun and proper date when you first meet, imagine how ‘fun’ life will be when you get married! When younger I went on a hike as a first date and dinner was supposed to happen after. I nearly got heatstroke and died, thus guy (a doctor) didn't even have the awareness to stop, look back and offer me some water.

I am SO sick of being offered walk or coffee dated. "Fabulous femmes and the fairy God father" promote only coffee or walk dates because they're quick and easy. The rules say you're not allowed to drink (why? Because my smaller sized simple female brain stops functioning after a glass of wine and im going to strip right there at the establishment..?!)

What sort of word tracking can I use to say "I don't feel a coffee or a walk is a date" "drinks are something i grab with my friends, dinner or lunch is more of a date activity to me".

I've already been called a gold digger for not wanting to go on a coffee date several times. Block.
