I have been seeing so many posts about this, but I cannot stress it enough how important it is to really vet for the guys you let get close to you. I stupidly let a guy, lets call him B, become a friend of mine, and it has been one of the most toxic hurtful friendships ever. I don't even know if its possible to be friends with guys platonically after my experience with B. He was such a LVM.

He would always make jokes about me being a "sugar baby" for him - gross

He would always compliment me - but only to end the compliment by saying something so vulgar and sexual and gross

Would often call me the R word - like who does that??

He was rarely ever really there for me - just talk, no actual action. For example, he apparently knows how to repair phones/technology really well. I called him one day after something was wrong with my phone - he showed genuine interest at first, but then tried to just get me to come over (and you know what). I told him I would come over ONLY to get my phone fixed, and then he ever followed through with those plans. Doubt he would have actually helped me.

The final straw was when I really needed to talk so I facetimed him during an emotional crisis. I was going through so much anxiety - I was having an actual panic attack at the time - and I called him first. (we were talking just hours ago, plus he struggled with anxiety so I thought he would be able to help - stupid I know). Anyway, I called him up, shaking with anxiety and on the verge of tears, and told him what was wrong. This stupid scrote wasn't paying attention to a single word I was saying, he turned to talk to someone near him, (I think he was walking into a store too?) - just being such a JERK. I couldn't believe it. He could call me at any time when he wanted to complain about some girl he was seeing, or some other nonsense, but when I was literally suffering and having a panic attack, he barely gave me the time of day. It made my anxiety so much worse, Ugh I hated him so much after that.

I blocked and deleted after that, and never heard from him again. He was SO rude, and I look back and he never was a good friend.

Ladies, if we must find guy friends, we must make sure they treat us with respect. Respect or nothing at all. They just secretly want to sleep with us, and that's all. They will do the bare minimum but will never ACTUALLY help you out genuinely.
