I saw it this morning. Not ONE comment addresses FDS’ content. Not one. It’s all: “they’re gonna die alone, gold-digger, cat lady, etc.” Nothing but a bunch of scrotes and scrotesses. I blocked every single one of them.

I’m sorry this is happening to you. Block them all.

You can turn off chat requests & inbox messages via settings > notifications.

Say what you want to, OP. Like others said, these are just frustrated men who self-advocate for what they want so hard, they’d utilize you as a human carpet if you allowed it. And those powerless-in-the-real-world men are still falling back on the old “cat lady” and “gold digger” tropes because they can’t come up with anything original, and are attempting to mask their terror that women will never sexually engage with them again (for free). Underneath the macho man shit is just quivering blobs who have no frame of reference for who they are as men without a female accessory to pump up their ego and elevate their status in the eyes of other men (the only opinions they really care about). And who aren’t willing to level up and improve. They don’t see us as human, and you may disregard them in kind. This is not the kind of person you should even consider capitulating to. Remember the sacrifices our female predecessors made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

No need to engage, but don’t let this push you into being silenced in the future on this sub. That’s what they want. Post and comment as much as you’d like. And utilize the tips re: shutting off DMs, etc.

I’ve had a look and it’s all pathetic. You have nothing to feel embarrassed about. They should be embarrassed for criticising you for wanting to get home safely late at night! I mean, how dare you want money to make sure you don’t get r*ped?!?!? I can’t believe they’re making threats over that but that kind of proves your point about wanting to be safe from these scrotes. Late night public transport out of a city is dangerous for any woman because of people like that. They will jump on any reason to threaten us in here because fear is the only way they’ll ever get a woman themselves. You’ve done nothing wrong. It’s not your fault we live in a world where you couldn’t just say to your date “yes I got public transport here but now it’s late and it’s just not safe for me”. To answer your original question, it is a red flag, he should be able to make sure you got home safely. xxx

Happened to me as well. Don't worry, just turn off your chat settings, that will solve the problem. Also, keep your account FDS exclusive, don't participate in other subs with your FDS account.

So sorry that you're dealing with all that hun... Block all of them and remember it is only reddit and the internet, they cannot reach you IRL.

That is why the Handbook encourages us to turn off our chat/inbox/whatever tool allows redditors to interact privately with our account when we are active on FDS. Please consider making your account as private as possible for your safety.
