In my experience they have a love/hate relationship inside their own brains with their own sexuality. For many of them, they spend so much time chasing every in-vagina orgasm they can, that they don't level up and learn to love themselves and be someone they can be proud of. So when a woman is naturally loving and kind to them, they don't know what the fuck to do with it, because they cannot relate. They get spoon fed entitlement and audacity their whole lives, not caring and intimacy. That's not an orgasm, that's woman's work, go away, says their brain. Then you go away and their penis is like, oh wait, that was the way to an in-vag orgasm, come back. In all likelihood, what they're doing to YOU SPECIFICALLY is seeing how much abuse and neglect you will tolerate. They tend to act like eternal adolescents who will bend over backwards and jog 3 miles on their hands in order to avoid carrying their own weight in life. Men have this hugely misinformed idea that relationships (responsibilities and considerations for others) are a chore and an optional burden of life that can be sloughed off onto the shoulders of a female if you can trick them into it or find one with low self esteem that will tolerate it.

I'm not sure why, but that's just the way it is. Him not putting in effort from the start is a bad sign. You should be letting him chase. Read the FDS Handbook to brush up.

I just wanted to comment that I used to be one of those women who had zero qualms about making the first move and all the way up until about 13 years ago, it always went fine. Things are very different now, I don't know if it's the dating apps or just the passage of time, but male attitudes have changed. Just say no to initiating!

If you are the one doing the work and then you pull away, he is only going to put in the work again until he hooks you back in and you put in the work again. It’s not really increased interest. It’s not even about the chase IMO. It’s about him wanting your attention back on him so him trying to get it back so he doesn’t have to do any work
