Because for many men it is all they want to talk about and in terms of women all they care about. So you are not a person so much as a potential fuck. They are not interested in knowing personal details. They bring up sex early as a test if you respond in kind or are open to discussing it then they assume you will have sex with them. They make assumption based on how you respond the best way to handle this is to stop talking to them They are doing everybody a favor really by filtering themselves out.

They push for the "sex positive" mantra along with liberal feminists so hard because it serves them well.

OLD literally is what it is. Generally OLD is space for men to get whatever sex they can and women to take whatever relationship comes their way. There are no “more serious” apps.

OLD is a sex-based gambling game that functions like a marketplace- that’s it- unfortunately millions of women have been hoodwinked and groomed to believe:

Romance is a scam sold to women to put up with incredibly destructive shit and minimal results.

Here’s something to consider. Lots of women are exactly having the same experience. No real life dating and consistently terrible OLD.

Liberate yourself from frustration.

It’s generally best to start at reality and work from there to achieve a goal. I’m darn sure you can and will find love and partnership. I’m also convinced that the journey isn’t what we’d like it to be, what it should be and most of all- what we were told.

You have all sorts of options. Suggestion: lose all assumptions, invest no emotions and no bs vet ruthlessly OLD. First strike no warning block and delete.

Invest in real world interactions. There’s huge repository of advice here on FDS and elsewhere that will create space to meet men in the meat space.

And most of all feel better and realize it isn’t you.

HVM won't do this when talking to you in OLD. It's an easy way to filter them out. I've actually met some decent men online (despite what many people say here, they do exist, although I live in a huge city so the odds are better) and none of them said anything even remotely sexual or suggestive on the app or before we met.

They are far more interested in sex than anything else. They mention it to see if they're lucky that day and a woman takes the bait instead of cutting that shit out immediately.

Women's purpose for this kind of men is 80% sex. They cannot fathom intimacy, romantic feelings, companionship or even friendly conversations with a woman without it being about sex, sex, sex. That's why whenever they're lonely or horny they go back to Tinder.

Every time I see a "I'm so lonely" as an explanation for why they're on a dating app, I see it as a red flag. In my experience, it usually means that they're more bored than lonely. In other words, they don't know how to occupy their time with something that satisfies them (lack of initiative, curiosity and inventiveness), so they turn to women to be their entertainment. That kind of mentality makes it a one-way street relationship from the start.

Same! Can’t wrap my fingers around that but once they try, they are blocked. I don’t know what’s wrong with men, honestly. They either start off with sexual advances right away or drag it along (loooong messages but no action like having a FaceTime call) which is also not what I’m personally looking for. Lots of ghosters. And just generally seems like because casual sex is very much available now, most of them don’t want to commit. Why commit? I’m seeing an overwhelming number of men who want casual sex, don’t want to have children and don’t know what they are looking for. I give up.

I’ve found most men steer it to sexual, regardless of being online or not. This is why we have sexual harassment prevention training at worksites.
