Communication is about expressing unapologetically what you need and want and feel and shouldn’t require a therapy session to help him develop the empathy a 2nd grader has, nor should it require a drawn out defense of why subjective feelings are valid.

THIS!!!! One hundred percent. I’m no longer teaching a man how to treat me with common courtesy. Yes, you have to learn how to love someone, learn their habits, what’s makes them happy, what makes them sad, allergies, likes and dislikes.... but I REFUSE to ‘teach’ someone how to call when they can’t make dates, how to not cheat, how to express themselves without getting violent, how trying to confine me in one space is not acceptable, how NO MEANS NO, how just because you took me on date doesn’t mean I should sleep with you, or how to support me during the times I don’t have faith in myself.
Im no longer explaining why I don’t Fuck with people.
