I'm from a country, where conscription always existed and I've gone a long battle to avoid it. Because I'm not a soldier, I'm weak and soft I want to be so, not a "real man" like fascists wished I was. Ended up living in a different country with it being extremely dangerous to come back to my own due to legal troubles due to my avoidance of military service.

The fact I was able to avoid it like that, was because of one year where system was overloaded with people who did the same I do. The more disobedience the safer we are. It should be a norm, let's not try to find legal ways to skip it, let's just ignore them and let the system collapse. What will they do? Put every single male in jail?

Men are considered less valuable so the average man is very oppressed and used by everyone. The femanist staw man is acting like all men are opressive 1% earners when 99% are not. They are just belittiling men who have very little money or socal power. What bully would go after someone with more status than them?

-Trump forced out Trans people from serving, just for being Trans

-MAGA would love to kick out all the women in the army

Germany hasn't reintroduced conscription so far (not according to the bill that is now being debated in Parliament. Germany's best known feminist Alice Schwarzer is in favor of conscription for women as well... but there is no 2/3 majority in sight to change the constitution that only allows conscription for men. The Left (Linke) is against all kinds of conscription and thus against an amendment and and on the other side are a lot of very conservative men (and women).

Damn near every poll on draft and war has found men are usually substantially more supportive of draft and going to war than women.

I suspect the same may be true for Europe.

We can’t reach gender equality if we don’t confront the reality that a lot of misandrists are other men.

I don’t necessarily agree that the issue is conscription of men only. Frankly while there is more and more technology being developed that levels the playing field in war it currently remains true that a larger portion of the male population can be mustered and trained to combat effectiveness quickly. I think the real issue is how flippantly people regard the idea of soldiers dying, and war in general. Decisions that cost lives are made with little regard for what that means. But I anyone disagrees I would be interested to hear why.
