It seems they are just male allies, He4She kind of stuff. They have a right to devote themselves to serving feminism, yet it certainly doesn't make them male rights group. Menslib are much more pro men than this group

This... doesn't really seem to be for men's issues, it stands for National Organization for Men Against Sexism. It seems like thier goal is to help women, which on it's own is fine I guess but it doesn't really make sense that they've made an organisation for men to do that specifically.

I think it shows why feminists can't do men issues well, men's purpose to them as just as "allies", supporting women, not as humans with thier own struggles needed to be addressed.

Don't address the empathy gap, don't address misandry and hatred against men, address violence by men against women more than the vast majority of violence - violence by men against men simply for not being women...

They appear to have no idea about men, but it is easy to exploit male victims as they have no choice. They can't back someone who actuall cares because there is nobody.

This is a feminist side-quest to diffuse the narrative about feminist misandry in a way those who have no idea about men might buy. I don't.

Good to now they don't give the slightest thing about me, my story, victimization or whatever else and instead support the same narratives that even enabled some of it.

I'm sure there is some good message somewhere hidden on that page, but it's not for me - it is there for them to feel better whilst having to show minimal empathy for or invest any time into educating themselves on men and the actual issues that get them violated, physically bullied, unemployed, homeless, tortured, dismissed and killed significantly more often whilst receiving significantly less support, empathy, sympathy, concern, compassion, justice or help in those situations.

Well, just look at the history of this organization: until 1990 their name was "National Organization for Changing Men" (NOCM) and they used to organize/promote lectures of prominent misandrists like Andrea Dworkin. Not very much for men, this is just like any other feminist organization.

I didn't analyse all of their website, but it seems fishy.

To me, the NOMAS movement was a brilliant counterpart to 2nd wave feminism in the 70s (called M&MC back then). My issue is that the 2nd wave was a genuine force for good which dealt with some very serious issues (and it could be controversial to some women to say that they take what the 2nd wave fought for for granted) and I support it completely, so this as a counterpart is great.

Where the argument falls short is the idea of this modern/postmodern/whatever version of feminism we have in 2021, which is less a force for good and more like everything we dislike about r/TwoXChromosomes. NOMAS does not fit into that. There is no modern equivalent of NOMAS for the 21st century, despite the fact it still kinda continues.

The major issue with this is that if feminists are using it as a defence to criticism (and they are doing great work to tackle men's issues)...then why have few feminists heard of them. And for that matter, how come many men haven't heard of them.

To me, they feel like a leftover group from a bygone era. 2nd wave feminism isn't a thing anymore, so why should the male counterpart to a movement 50 years ago still be a relevant thing

I like the men's issues that they stand for AND I don't like the men's issues that are missing.

To paraphrase some examples From their site they advocate:

More time with the kids for married fathers
Overcoming the traditional role as the Provider to focus on one's own happiness
Building interpersonal skills
Fighting for acceptance of gay men
Become less aggressive/abusive
Etc.

But say nothing about more time with the kids for divorced men. They say nothing about men who are victims of abuse (including abuse by women). They say nothing of male only drafts which reforge the idea of men as told of violence. Etc etc.

My take is that this is a group who cares about men but isn't as helpful as it they think they are.
