So the other day for international mens day. There was a post on a local sub i engaged in.

Someone posted about how men run toward danger and should be celebrated.

Of course someone responded that "men are often dangerous".

This did tick me off some. So I responded with the fact ive saved womans lives on two occasions. Once from a flipped car that was smoking/on fire, and another time on a river where she 100% would have died had i not saved her. Both instances these were strangers. Ive never talked with them since the incident nor before.

Anyways I get downvoted and hated on. I was told real men dont brag about saving lives, they just do it and then seek no validation.

My point wasnt to toot my own horn but to point out that yes us men do run towards danger ar risk to ourselves without a selfish bone in our body and two; men actually arent often dangerous, we are often protectors.

There were comments mockingly calling me a hero and bashing me for sharing my life experience and standing up to the idea that men are dangerous. Sure there are pieces of crap but they are vastly outnumbered by us that care and protect woman.

It doesnt matter that I vote liberal/democrat, it doesn't matter that im vegan and install green energy to fight climate change.

It doesnt matter how good a guy i am, if I dont agree with the narratives woman kind has collectively decided is the the correct narrative, im the enemy apparantly.

Pretty eye opening to be honest.
