I’ve always been comfortable going out either alone or with friends. Product of being fiercely independent.

There’s a certain peace and tranquility in doing things purely for your own enjoyment.

Ironically the very reason people can’t do things alone is because they’re accustomed to the bickering and madness. It’s amazing how you can hate something but continue because it is the status quo. People are creatures of habit. This is why MGTOW is difficult for older men. They typically have to be forced into it after being crushed by family court. Younger men see it easier because they haven’t built up as much habits and experience and just choosing your own way is a lot easier.

I've loved going out on my own for years. It's the best! The only time I seem to be bothered is when I'm at a restaurant eating and reading a book. Without fail, for some reason people think it's an invitation to start talking to you.

When the original Raiders of the Lost Ark came out, I went to the matinee by myself almost every day for a couple of weeks (matinee price back then was $0.50)

I spent the rest of the summer just riding my bicycle around town by myself. That summer is one of my best childhood memories and I still have the power in my legs that I built from all the riding all those years ago.

I've been doing it for years as well, however I wouldn't say it's because you've become introverted. More like a lack of peer pressure, no obligations to anyone, and you do you on your own terms. A positive - saving money unless you want to use it on yourself.

Since doing my YT stuff, I've become an extrovert BUT, I have days I want to be left the Hell alone, and switch to introvert mode. Gaming, movies, archery, gun range, reading, going places I've never been, etc.

Some times being left the Hell alone and doing you is the best medicine sometimes.

I go out on my own most of the time. My coworkers all live pretty far away, so it's hard setting up things to do when it's not immediately after work. This often leads to me going out on weekends to my favorite restaurants, watching movies, etc. Other than that, I'm mostly a stay-at-home guy myself.

Yea indeed it’s awesome!! I basically watch all my movies alone because it’s just easier with schedules and etc. I can change in a dime if something better comes up. Plus my wife hates my movie selection. Once I leave I have visions of solidarity and peace..NEVER get married!!!

Saw Infinity War in 3-D on a Monday morning; looked like I'd rented the auditorium for myself (until a couple with a baby came in just before the end of the trailers); much more preferable than opening weekend with all the crowds.

I usually go out alone because my ~~friend~~ coworker like to come with their partner or opposed to what I did. It more flexible because I don't need to come home and report to someone, I just need to have my phone alive.

I bring book and notes to restaurant nowadays, start learning how to sketch and usually did it in my spare time, that helps me enjoy the time slowly. I just fix my shower 2 days ago and it feels rewarding even if I do it alone.

The weirdest adjustments were going on a vacation by myself and going to a sporting event by myself

I don't do either frequently just because of time constraints, but once I got over both, it hasn't been a problem

Dining alone has never felt odd, but it depends on the setting, but I'd never go to a place where it felt odd to be alone, even if not dining alone

I'm not what you would call an introvert per se. I do like to keep to myself but I also like to talk to people when I'm in a group.

Wait until you want to take a trip somewhere and you get to spend a number of hours alone in your car. I've found one of the most enjoyable parts of going on vacation, is the drive. I get to stop when and where I want, listen to music that I want, as loud as I want. Most of the time it it is usually at least a ten to twenty hour drive. The best part is that I don't have to listen to someone complaining during the whole drive as well as the rest of the vacation.

A buddy of mine went to Europe a few years ago with the wife and another couple. Said never again, between his wife complaining about the other couple and the other couple driving him nuts he said from now on either he's traveling alone or only with the wife.

All the other guys wife did was complain from breakfast to bedtime about everything and anything. She ordered a lobster and complained that it was looking at her. The woman's husband had the whole trip planned out with times at every stop. We'll spend seven minutes here then it will take up ten minutes to walk here and we'll spend five minutes there ect ect ect.....

I have a MGTOW buddy who's divorced with no family, that I've known at least ten years. He goes on nice vacations all over the world alone. Every Christmas he goes somewhere different. In the past few years Rome, Berlin, Honolulu, Tokyo, Paris, London, Sydney, just to name a few places I'm aware of that he's visited.

Since I went mgtow I also felt I was becoming more introverted which is not my preference so I took and retook the test and I'm always extrovert but it's a grey area. The difference in introvert and extroverted is if you'd rather go party or read a book. I'd rather go party. No not at a bar but an awesome European spot with good lounge music and dance but since there is nothing like that around me, yes I live like you now and I love it as well.

The main constraint has gone and no requirement to agree on where you should go or what you should do either. Sometimes I'll ride my bike through the city around midnight just because it's quiet and because I feel like it.

I discovered I liked going out alone when I started a job that required lots of travel. I'd be in a city, by myself, not knowing anyone and had two options. Sit in my hotel room bored to tears or go explore the city. After a while I didn't even consciously think about being on my own at a restaurant, a bar, a concert, what have you. I think a large part of the fear of doing things alone is thinking others will look at you and think "what the fuck is this guy doing here alone, something is wrong with him". But a) most people don't give a fuck about you and b) even if they do, so what? Just enjoy life.

Yes. Either I go alone or with a friend/relative.

Especially long walks are great to do solo because there's nobody there with sore feet, in search of a toilet, or wanting to pop into a shop you might be passing.

I'm happy spending time alone, cooking, working out, making music, gaming and reading.

But when I go out alone I'm very friendly and open to talking to people. For example, I went to a cafe last week and struck up a long conversation with the chef.

Being able to strike up a conversation with strangers is a skill worth developing. When you can do this you never need to feel alone.

I ride hundreds miles on the bike alone. Its very liberating and I love doing things alone. Its nice to actually have some peace and quiet and be able to think for a change.

I’ve been going out alone ever since I started driving (17ish). At 26, I have just finally travelled alone and it was relaxing as helllllll. I’ve eaten, been to dance clubs, strip clubs, bars, practically everywhere alone. I love it. No waiting for people (women), no bickering about what to do, no pressure. I’m going to six flags, another music festival, and other events alone this summer. I do have this feeling of wanting a partner but that only complicates finances.

I've been going out alone for years. In a party setting, If you're having a good time people will want you around. I Would not recommend sitting still and looking sad or lost. Otherwise, movies, bike riding, going out to eat... really awesome alone.

It's not that bad. It gets better once you quit giving a shit what others think. Since my separation, I've gone to the movies by myself several times. I'm planning on seeing the 11am Deadpool 2 show tomorrow, then probably go to the pool at my apartment by myself with headphones on to be left alone just to get some sun somewhere besides my arms and neck (work outside a decent amount). I enjoy the solitude after 12 years of marriage and having my 3 kids 2 days a week and the noise of the airport for 3 days.

Odd recommendation being introverted myself is find the senior eating alone and ask if you could join, you dont have to say anything and they have some of the most amazing stories, even some to reinforce why you stay clear of women.
