It takes nothing to be an actor. If you take classes you can be better than most working today. The reason people are rich from it is;

a) They know the right people

b) They fucked the right people

or

c) A combination of the two

The whole Weinstein thing really fucked them over. Now it's clear every woman, and a good deal of the men, only got the job based on who they are fucking. It revealed that it takes nothing to work in Hollywood other than whose ass you kiss, often literally.

and they still expect you to look up to them and listen to their advice on politics.

After the Weinstein news came out, I had a real moment of clarity. I have seen too many movies where I asked myself, "how did she get in this movie?" 'She' was either not good looking enough to be the star of the movie, or didn't act well. Now it all makes sense how they (more than 1) got there. PS: Meryl Streep is over-rated, with a face of a shrew.

After I cut cable, I discovered foreign movies and TV series. There are actresses in Asia that are simply stunning (still wouldn't marry one), and ALSO act well enough to evoke emotion watching their films. The last american movie that had an actress that evoked any emotion on my part was... was.... wait, there are NONE because they always end up living happily ever after while some SIMP dies on her behalf.
