Everywhere else on reddit philosophies like redpill and mgtow are universally hated by the hivemind.

Mostly by people who never bother to read much of the content of either.

Especially irritating when my comment made no such mention, dude took it upon himself to scroll through post history, and lash out and something I'm sure he couldn't really explain.

This happened to me over a week ago at my city's subreddit.

I had mentioned I wanted to do some volunteer work and asked for recommendations.

One of the guys goes through my post history, and makes a mention that I'd be hard to work with, given my post history.

Said most places I'd be working under female authority. I said that's okay with me as long as the authority is competent.

He then took a shot at how stupid MGTOWs were and got massively upvoted. I stood my ground. I said that my viewpoints on marriage and relationships in our current climate have nothing to do with me wanting to volunteer, and by ad hominem-ing me with an unrelated shaming tactic only serves to strengthen my deep set core beliefs.

People there asked me if I had some mental issues. I just wanted to volunteer.

Moral of the story: daring to have an alternative opinion in so called open-minded, liberal America is a thought crime and must be punished. And Reddit is full of them.

The hate for this place is real, but if there's one thing I've learned, is that the side of the majority isn't always on the right side.

This sub is interesting. It seems like everyone was “fucked over” and blames the system for their misfortune. I get it, divorce and the associated financial fallout doesn’t sound like much fun. With that said, I don’t see how blaming others, not taking responsibility for your actions and avoiding any/all co-habitating relationships out of fear is a smart solution.
