I was shaving this morning with a Gillette razor, and Gillette shaving cream and thinking, fuck, besides my nail clippers and soap this is pretty much the extent of my male grooming. Women have aisles and aisles in the drugstore for all their primping needs and yet some doofus still has to screw up my few items by politicizing my whiskers. Unless a full apology to my gender is issued forthwith, then screw this company forever.

The fact that you ever had a subscription for anything that is blatantly overpriced to begin with is kind of funny.

When there have been alternatives around for almost a decade now. I dont know how Gillette ever convinced anyone that they needed to be on a subscription service for their overpriced blades instead of what normal people do, use it till it pulls then rub it on some denim and hope that gets you another week because these things cost a god damend fortune.

Or just switch to electic, straight edge, Castaway.

of course it got almost no press. it was on r/videos for like two seconds and then it was gone. no real front page. i mean i did some big news outlets talk about it for a bit, but i mean, in the zeitgeist of the world, it was a blip. a bloop. if that had been reserve about single mom's, moming up and stop riding the CC, it would be talked about for months.

I’ve switched to using Harry’s shaving razors. It’s a subscription program and definitely cheaper than Gillette. I also find the razors are better.

This kind of thing is not accidental. This company is risking (and will probably lose) millions of dollars. Anyone who has grown a business to that point knows strategy and understands risk. The only way to teach them a lesson they will listen to is via their wallets.

I have Gillette in the home; when they are finished I will be switching brands - for good. Many of the others are just as good; the only reason I use Gillette is because I've been using it since I first shaved. I'll switch to Wilkinson Sword or something.
