regardless of how things "used to be WAYYYY back when"... and regardless of how things "were in the 50s"...

THIS is the way things are NOW. I always HATED the phrase "it is what it is" growing up? always sounded like a cop out... a non-sensical statement of the obvious?

But? I am 50? and... regardless of the far past or the near past? THIS is what it is NOW. Hate to say it, but... "it is what it is".

I've always been a little jaded about men and women and marriage and kids and divorce, and all that. I'm not MAD about the way it is? Because it serves no functional purpose to be mad. It accomplishes nothing.

I do know, that while things were never PERFECT between men and women? They were at least not completely screwed up, at least not for everyone... but? Over the last 20 years? Things HAVE gotten almost COMPLETELY screwed up.

Arguing whether its 60/40 or 70/30 or 80/20? accomplishes nothing. INside? We all KNOW we are up against a well entrenched, well oiled, long running "propaganda and media machine" that is a complete JUGGERNAUT in our society.

I swear to GOD? The only thing we can DO? that will have a big enough impact, that wont get twisted around to make our position even worse? Is what we are doing... more men are walking away from marriage. Almost as many are walking away from the long term commitments, from having women live with them. More and more? Are even going full MONK.

Its not perfect? But, its the best way to play the hand we hold. I have a minor in history from my university getting my STEM degrees?

The problem isn't men....it's women and their crappy choices. They choose the meathead pillar of testosterone, hoping that they can change him or that he will be different. Then, when the guy turns out to be exactly what he represented himself as, and pumps and dumps, she says things like "society's expectations are too high".

Using the 20-80 principle (and I'd say it's more like 10-90 and getting smaller by the day), they dismiss the vast majority of men.

They are unwilling (or unable) to discern "the good men" (their words). It's as if they don't even operate on basic instinct any more, and with thirsty simps are lazy and go with the man that takes the least effort to attain.

Women really have VERY low self-esteem in general, and are always trying to fill that gap with "alphas", social status, having a score of men at beck and call etc etc, not thinking that if they actually took the time to work on themselves that a lot of their feelings of inadequacy (which are possibly the conscience telling her to improve) would go away. However, none of this has long-term potential for the man.

I think what we are seeing in this day and age are the final throws of a decade long tantrum from women. We've all more than likely been in a heated argument with a woman and she starts throwing all sorts of crazy shit about that's really off topic just to be spiteful because she's losing the argument and I think that's what we are seeing today.

I think there are a lot of factors to this, over inflated sense of self worth probably brought on by all the thirsty betas on social media, increased hypergamey also brought on by over exposure to the larger world via increased media, TV, magazines etc etc.

They all seem to want what they can't have or won't work for. Their expectation is to be given everything on a silver platter regardless of their behaviour or looks. I can tell you from experience that when you tell a partner she's an embarrassment because of her behaviour, that is exactly the time you find out what sort of woman you're really with and it's usually one of the crazy, used up, wall hitting bitches.
