So my wife and I split about 3 weeks ago. After years of her bossiness, treating me like a child, I hit my boiling point and ended it. (since finding TRP, I now understand what went wrong better but that is not what the story is about)

As soon as she left, the first thing she did was contact my family. Her "claim" is that she hoped they could talk some sense into me since I have apparently went bat-shit-crazy.

Somewhere down this line, she decides I should see a therapist. She convinces my family members the same, b/c you know, I'm not "myself". I don't deny it, I had a really fucked up childhood, maybe I can get some insight to my current issues. So she schedules it the day she leaves...with a woman. I'm pissed about this, let me do my own and a woman doctor for gods-sake? I think whatever...if I don't do it for any other reason, it will calm my family members down, so I go with it with guards up.

Well, the session is decent. Told me if i ever wanted to visit childhood issues, make an appointment, sympathized about the split, etc.

On my way back to the house, I get a call of the soon-to-be ex-wife. She wants to know how it went. I tell her good, but she is fishing for information. This is starting to get on my nerves at this point and I'm trying to just get off the phone with her. Finally, she hits the nerve while asking, "well what else did she say?" So I tell her exactly the last thing the therapist told me, "she said I need to get a lawyer".

She sits silently for about a minute, then let's me go.

After this, she calls my sister to bitch and complain about how pissed she is at me and how the therapy might not be a good idea.
