I am familiar with the "be anything but boring" idea and that emotions in any direction are positives towards being attractive to a woman. My question is: Is the above scenario a win for all of you? I have a ton of trouble feeling attraction in the midst of shit tests and bad attitudes.

When my wife is being bitchy, my current play is to withdraw my attention. Obviously in public I'd put on a good face and be a rock until we got home, but I'd receive her escalation really poorly.

What should the response be if using the same scenario, but when you mentioned the plans for dinner, wife just says something along the lines of "I'm not going. Go without me." and then refuses to leave for the dinner. Just call and cancel? i wouldn't want to go without her since it's her best friend you're meeting.
